This hotel should be the standard that every single Marriott aspires to! We are Bonvoy Gold members and travel a lot. Through the years, our family of four has stayed at dozens of Marriotts up and down the entire east coast, and while some are better than others, this one sets the bar above and beyond. From the moment we pulled up, we were impressed. The facade of this hotel is beautiful. The grounds were pristine and the landscaping was really pretty. Parking was easy and convenient, something we really appreciated after a 12 hr car ride from New York. When we stepped inside, the lobby took our breath away. The decor is gorgeous. It is very modern with rustic touches and everything is immaculate. They pipe their citrusy signature scent throughout the entire hotel and it smells absolutely amazing! Check in was super easy and the front desk staff was really friendly and helpful, answering all of our questions. I was also equally impressed with our room. For anyone who has read some of my previous reviews, you know that I bring my own cleaning supplies with me to go over the room whenever we stay at a hotel, and a lot of times, the Clorox wipes and Swiffer pads come off the surfaces filthy. Not here. This place is CLEAN!! I am very particular about this, so if you are reading this review and you are a clean freak too, you can trust me that this hotel will totally meet your standards. The room furnishings are pretty new and the carpets are clean. We got a room with two queens and a sofa seating area, since my husband planned to work from the room each morning, and there was plenty of space for the 4 of us. There was a small fridge (my only complaint was that it was too small, it only fit a few bottles of water, no room for dinner leftovers which my teens enjoy having in the room in case they are hungry during off meal times). There is also a microwave. The bathroom was a good size and also very clean. What really sets this hotel apart from others is the amenities. This hotel was designed for families and for comfort. It really is like a home away from home. There are so many cozy seating areas all over the grounds, a huge stone fireplace in the lobby with the fire going at most times, two fire pit areas, lots of seating to eat, a courtyard with cornhole games, two pools (an indoor pool, as well as the amazing lazy river pool), a hot tub, an arcade game room, a bar and a lounge area in the lobby with a giant connect four game on the coffee table. Throughout our 4 day stay, there were cleaning people in every area of the hotel all day. I really cannot say enough how impressed I was by the level of care that goes into maintaining this hotel. Even the elevators and the water stations in the lobby were immaculate at all times. The location was great, right on the parkway, only minutes from all of the main attractions. I will absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone I know who is interested in visiting the area. This was probably the

I wouldn’t stay again, it was quite disappointing. When we got there, a man at the desk was having an asthma attack from the smoke smell in his room and was getting a refund. Then, a mom came out 10 minutes later stating that a group was smoking **** on the balcony around her children. When we got in our room, the comforters smelled like **** as well. Pillows were fine however, and the room itself smelled okay. The shower head was too short to wash hair, I could put my chin on it as a 5’7” female. Conveniently located with easy parking, but I would pay more and go somewhere else.

The hotel is very large, on the edge of the Pigeon Valley National Road, it is very convenient to come from the Great Smoky Mountain Forest Park. It feels that a whole lot of commercials belong to this hotel. The rooms are large and very beautiful. There are various commercial and amusement buildings downstairs. Facilities, parking is free. There is a Chinese reception at the front desk. Personally feel that the street view is better than the river view. The river view room arrived at night, a dark river. The hotel has a self-service laundry room. This is very important. At 11 o'clock in the evening, there are still many people playing outside, almost all families with children.

We had originally booked at a hotel next door, but was refused a room because we were considered local. I was booked for a musical performance, and didn't want to risk driving the 40-50 miles back home at that late hour. Arbors at Island Landing saved us from a dangerous drive back home. The room was affordable, and had a sense of luxury. From the towel critter on the bed, to the amazing ascetics of the room, We were very pleased with our experience.

This hotel has good customer service and friendly employees. The breakfast is good and they have a pancake machine. Unfortunately, the room itself, 418, and the cleaning service were not very good. The room was a 1 bedroom suite with a large spa tub. The tub was nice and shower worked well. The living room was disappointing, with no sofa but instead an uncomfortable chaise lounge. The carpet was very stained in several places. There is only one window in the three rooms so not much natural light. The bed was comfortable but the ceiling above the bed had noticeable stains. Our room was not cleaned the 7 nights we were there even though we requested service. No iron or ironing board in the room. I asked twice for one but never received it. I can not recommend this hotel and will not return.

I wouldn't pay to stay here again. Here is a list of Pros/Cons: Pros: ~Close to the Parkway ~The view of the mountains from our room was spectacular Cons: ~The hotel was dated, and tired looking including our room. Old fixtures, worn furniture in the lobby, etc ~Wifi did not work in our room on the 6th floor. ~The bed was INCREDIBLY noisy and mattress springs could be easily felt when lying down ~There were some stains on the comforter in between the sheets, looked like a bit of old blood. (looked like it had been laundered and dried on) ~The breakfast was supposed to be hot, but the heaters must not have been working since all the ”hot” items were about room temperature. There was no fresh fruit, bacon, toast, etc. Plates were styrofoam/plastic utensils. I expected better for what we paid to stay there. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place. It wasn't horrible, but there are definitely better options for the price point. I'm glad we only had to stay one night there.
