Carlisle Bay

Quite possibly THE place to spend a Caribbean holiday. Fantastic surroundings, a wonderful beach, incredible rooms, four epic places to eat on site and to top it all a flawless crew of friendly, approachable, very capable staff who give their absolute best even when the temperatures are too much even for the guests! The place looks out on a beautiful sheltered bay with white, powdery sand with coral blue sea with which to enjoy a raft of adventures courtesy of on-site activities like sailing, paddleboarding and snorkelling. The four restaurants give you a delicious, varied set of menus with which to choose the finest cuisine and you won't tire of the multitude of cocktails and drinks available at the bars, one of which is right by the spacious swimming pool. Staff keep the place spotless - and are always there, ready to make you feel very special and very welcome. We enjoyed the great banter, fun and laughs with the bar and restaurant staff with whom we became almost family! Concierge and admin staff also were super polite and super efficient, attending to our every needs and the senior management were always attentive and always approachable. We must also mention the wonderful driver called Lava who took us everywhere we wanted and made extra special care we saw the very best of Antigua and understood its tremendous history. Ask for him at the main desk, you won't go far wrong with him. All in all, we had eleven unforgettable days in Carlisle Bay and would recommend it every time to the discerning holidaymaker who wants a little more than the standard sun and sand vacation. It is way, way better than that.

One of the best staff at a resort! This is the place to go to get spoilt by their staff. Great rooms, activities and fantastic restaurants. We went on a snorkelling 1/2 cruise and had a great time going to Cades Reef. I would highly recommend this place!

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday at Carlisle Bay. This stunning resort is set on one of the prettiest and largest bays on the island with spacious suites which are located right on the endless sandy beach. The sunsets are so pretty and the entire resort exudes calm and tranquility. There is an abundance of water sports, tennis, gym and yoga available but if you just want to chill on the beach, enjoy the warm turquoise sea and be pampered with cocktails from beach service, this is the place for you. We were blown away by the wonderful food in every restaurant, the management and staff are very welcoming and caring, nothing is too much trouble. Car rental is very reasonably priced and nowhere is too far, there are 365 beaches in Antigua which should not be missed. We love Antigua and this trip did not disappoint. Thank you Carlisle Bay.

My boyfriend and I were so in love with this resort! Our room was absolutely beautiful. The staff was incredible! Food at all the restaurants was excellent and breakfast everyday was delicious!!! We will definitely be back. So romantic and relaxing. Best vacation

Have returned from another 10 days at this lovely hotel. We enjoyed the food in all the restaurants , and agree with the previous comment about the fish tacos ! There can’t be many better views than those when relaxing over breakfast or lunch at Indigo. The staff make every stay we have had here very special, they are all very friendly and attentive. Bay Suites are large and very comfortable with amazing views. Finally word is that I really don’t think the beach can be beaten! Hope to return ….

Amazing views from such a perfectly, private beach! The staff are super friendly and attentive- they have a super set up for all water sports ! The food was super too, honestly the best fish tacos at the pier restaurant!! I have been here 3x and can’t wait to come back!

Amazing service, felt very comfortable and welcomed everywhere we went. Staff, especially Tony, very helpful in arranging various excursions. The sport centre was also great, offered a large variety of activities. Suite was clean, and every time we needed anything it was solved very fast. Food was tasty, good variety across the resort. Beach/pool staff very efficient. Everyone was sooooo friendly, felt right at home :)

Terrible, shockingly awful Restaurant: Yesterday: Kept us waiting 90 mins between starter and main course only to find out they forgot our main course though we’re happy to bring out bill for meal Today: One couple was strict vegetarian for religious reasons Quote: ‘Try the two dishes, one is vegetarian’ Shocking in this day and age Very backward culture So shocking for a supposedly high end resort Genuinely in disbelief Worse still as the meal went on: waiter came back to confirm they mixed the vegetarian and meat courses and took it back So shocked And disappointed

Great position on the beach in a lively bay. The facilities are extensive including tennis, water sports, pilates and yoga, and gym. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is good. This is a well managed hotel where everything is made easy.
