I have mixed feelings about this place. The grounds are beautiful!! Has wonderful playgrounds for the children and the pool is beautiful!! Its location is fine, convenient to find food and not too far from the airport. The room was clean and bed was comfortable.
When I booked it I didn’t realize it wasn’t an actually hotel. It’s an apartment complex where a business rents outthe rooms. I’m cool to stay in places like this, done it before, I just didn’t realize this when booking and so wasn’t prepared. There wasn’t a place to check in, no “front desk”/office - don’t think one exists. We struggled to find the place as you need to call ahead but we didn’t have cell service (our driver ended up calling for us). Someone came and picked us up from outside and took us to the room directly and dropped us off with no words, no instructions. It was very strange. The problem then was we had no way of contacting them except through trip email. Extremely inefficient. We needed an extra blanket for my daughter, The bathroom sprayer was actively spraying water when we got in and one of the air conditioners wasn’t working properly, but there was no way to get help.
We actually got locked out of our room bc the card stopped working. That was an awful feeling with no way to contact quickly. My husband ended up doing the free internet call through trip and was given a code to get in, but that was extremely frustrating and felt negligent on the host’s part.
I really want to give a good review as the place is not bad, but service is so important especially when you are traveling in a foreign country. Perhaps if we had known what type of place we were staying at and had a direct contact it wood have been better.
When leaving we did find the front desk for R&F hotel, it’s the same place, so if you want to stay here for a good price, just book with that one.
