I had the most wonderful weekend at the Himawari Hotel and Apartments. I stayed at one of the newly renovated rooms and it was really great! I had a nice view of the Mekong river. The showers have good water pressure too. I was also impressed at the staff of the hotel. Incredibly polite and courteous, which put a smile on my face always. As a return guest, I was so pleased that some of the longer serving staff remembered me! It made me feel at home and that Himawari is one big family ❤️ I’ve always enjoyed my meals at the Oyster restaurant too. Buffet breakfast always excellent, as well as their regular menu. My favorite are the fish and chips (as good as any high end restaurants I’ve been too) and the beef Lok Lak over rice. Overall, I highly recommend staying at the Himawari when you’re visiting Phnom Penh. I’ll be looking forward to returning in the future!

It seemed like the reservation wasn't made properly, but they prepared a room for me. When I went into my room and tried to open my suitcase, the suitcase lock wouldn't open, so I went to the lobby to ask for help because there was nothing I could do. Thank you for your help 👴🪛 Even when I didn't know how to lock my room, she came to my room and taught me. thank you very much. When I went to have breakfast the next day, she smiled and said good morning, which made me happy. Breakfast was delicious 😊 I took a lot of care of them, and they were great staff!

I've slept in total dives in this city before and I'm really happy that I didn't do that this time. Prantara Heritage Suites is a really nice option for travelers who have to be mindful of their budget but want a good experience being somewhere. It's a sweet little white villa tucked away just behind the British Ambassador's residence. There are some really nice places to hang out, eat and drink nearby. The Vine, Box Office, The Loft Coffee, are all a short walk from the hotel. Nearby there is also a large park called Wat Botum Park. It's a great spot to take little kids as there's a playground for them there. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The room itself was very comfortable and stylish. The air conditioner worked well and kept me chilled out during my stay. My time at this hotel reinforced in my mind the the positive nature of the changes that are happening in the city. Phnom Penh is clean these days. I don't see garbage in the streets as I have in the past. The people are as kind and friendly as ever. This place gets my vote and I highly recommend it to anyone who is coming to town. Check to see if there are any live comedy shows happening at SpeakEasy Theater just around the corner while you're here. I bet you dollars to donuts the next time you come back to Phnom Penh you'll want to stay here again.

I'ts a place where regular good people coming when they have holiday in Phnom Pehn, and Simon and his wife staff are so freindly and helpsome, with all things there can happen on holiday. If you want 5star luxury forget it ,but the family relationship you will have with the host couple can more than make up for the lack of golden taps oysters and foie gras.

+/ Ideal location and above an open supermarket 24/7, and near the Royal Palace Gardens. Clean and spacious room. Very pleasant staff and small care. -/ Noisy enough. Presence of rats in the dusts of the corridors.

Location is superb. Good restaurants with quite a lot of varieties of foods nearby like 2mins walk. Highly recommend Pleng Chan for breakfast. Love their pickels. Also Greek restaurant nearby was great. Queen mansion itself is a clean and safe hotel with hot water (considering some hotels in cambodia has only cold-warm water) but lacking some amenities and some issues were bit disappointing. No slippers, only two towels, dirty bath rug, ants in bathroom, one dead cockroach under a bedside drawer. When I stayed in bigger room, there were ants on the bed too. I had to spend almost 2 hrs in the middle of the night to kill 30 red ants on the mattress and pillow and blanket. I found out theres an ant house behind the bed. But I didnt see ants in smaller room. So don't get the room with kitchen. Its full of ants and the gas stove for cooking doesnt work.

The hotel is close to the US embassy. The environment is good. The rooms are one-bedroom and one-room with kitchen. There are actually two Starbucks near the hotel. It is the first time that I have seen two Starbucks within 200 meters, which is great for Phnom Penh!

i am very glad,that i staing in this gesthouse.there are not so many places,where so kind and friendly owners and staff.Its very qwite,comfortable and good location gesthouse with shops,interesting plases and very easy to come to famous turistic plases such riverside and central market. also,there are many store and shops with good and brend things.I recommend this gesthouse for everybody who want to spent relax and good times.and local people near are very friendly and will not look at like on crazy animal in the zoo.

Our family have lived in Cambodia for 21 years and I'd only recently heard of this place. We needed a spacious place to bring a lot of luggage from the provinces for shipping back to our home country. The staff bent over backwards to cater to us, allowing us to store our luggage in their office and then unpack and re-pack it. Their service was especially helpful as I had travelled without my husband and needed extra help. The bedrooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen, fridge and washing machine were especially important for us and we enjoyed the air con in the heat of dry season. There was clean drinking water(22L) provided for free and replaced when needed. The location was a bit tricky to get in and out of especially during peak hours but otherwise very central to shops and other places we needed to get to. I wish I'd known about this place earlier. I would highly recommend this place to others who travel with children. However, the small pool on the roof top empty and not in use when we stayed here.
