Phi Phi Cliff Beach Resort

Hotel has really good view and quite easily accessible to market within 10mins of walking distance and near to Tonsai pier.

We arrived in Phi Phi Island on 28th June 2026, me and my fiancee got to our hotel (Phi Phi Cliff Beach Resort) which was a massive regret staying here. Firstly the air conditioning in the room. So we arrived and being in a hot country we like to have cold air conditioning and at our previous destinations it was great. It kept going off so I went down and asked the reception if they could sort. Yes they sent someone up every time but after them saying they have fixed it, after 30mins to an hour it would go again. I asked them 5 times before changing room, I felt like they was lying every time and if that was me I would of offered to swap the room on the second time of complaining. (Room 4004 We then went to have a shower and there was NO hot water coming out. So yet again I went down to reception and they had to come with a maintenance guy from the hotel to fix it. This was resolved but still wasn’t a great service. (Room 4004) We then got in to bed after a stressful start to the stay and my fiancee noticed a fake eyelash in the bed which is weird considering she doesn’t wear fake eyelashes. Will attach photo below. (Room 4004) The mirror we had in our room also was filthy, it had some red residue on it which looked like blood to us. Will attach photo below. (Room 4004) We then sat on the balcony just to see the views after realising the balcony was covered in some sort of grey paint/dirt. (Will attach photo below) Both rooms. The sun loungers on the beach bit next to hotel were so uncomfortable. Made it hard to relax so we ended up just sitting on the sand. The bed was also so uncomfortable, it would of probably been better off sleeping on the floor. (In both rooms 4004 & 4006) The shower was also leaking somewhere around the door which resulted in the bathroom floor absolutely soaking, I didn’t realise until I fell over because the floor was so wet. (Room 4006) After all this, every night after not getting hardly any sleep while staying here the banging noises were horrendous. The walls must be paper thin as we could here next door talking all night and the tv playing. Lots of should and people being loud, I haven’t experienced anything like this in a hotel, it felt like they was in the room with us. I feel like this hotel is outdated now, I know Phi Phi is a small island but everything is so dirty in this complex. We had breakfast booked for the morning aswell which we looked at and it looked awful. I am never one to complain if I have a bad stay anywhere but I feel like I needed to get my point across and hopefully make other people aware to AVOID Phi Phi Cliff Beach Resort.

It’s located the end of phi phi. There are only breakfast. So if you need lunch or dinner, you have to walk so far. Hotel is quite old.

Overall, the stay was great. The hotel has an amazing view of both the city and the sea. We booked the BB option, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The staff were very supportive and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is located about a 15-minute walk from Tonsai Pier, but they kindly provided luggage transfer service, which was very convenient. Everything was perfect for us except for the distance from the harbour.

A picturesque location right by the sea. The views are amazing overlooking the harbour. Quiet and calming we liked to just sun bathe right by the ocean. Friendly staff members who went the extra mile for us. A bar and restaurant right next to the hotel along with it's own built in dining facilities. Couldn't recommend this hotel more albeit a short stay.

The hotel is located at the end of the beach in a stunning spot. The view from the room is beautiful, and the elevator runs smoothly. Breakfast is mostly Thai-style, but it was good and satisfying. The only issue I experienced was upon arrival at the pier when I needed assistance with my baggage. The staff member couldn’t find my name on the list, possibly because I made the booking the same day. He had to go back and forth with reception to confirm, and since it was very hot outside, I ended up waiting quite a while and was soaked in sweat by the time it was sorted out. When I finally arrived at the hotel, the staff did apologize, which I appreciated. However, after the long wait in the heat, it would have been nice to be offered a welcome drink or some refreshments.

10/10 experience! The service, logistics, and staff were outstanding. From the moment we arrived, they helped us with our luggage and made everything very smooth. The hotel was beautiful, very clean, and well organized. We truly loved our stay and would definitely come back.

A porter met us at the port and kindly carried our bags to the hotel, which was a nice and welcoming start to our stay. The rooms were as described; however, the hotel itself feels quite dated and is in need of general maintenance and updating. There was a noticeable mold smell in the room initially, though this disappeared once the air conditioning was turned on. Breakfast was enjoyable, with good coffee and made-to-order eggs. The private beach was a highlight—quiet, calm, and never crowded. The pool water itself was clean, but unfortunately the surrounding area was littered with cigarette butts. While we were relaxing at the pool, another family began smoking. We informed the front desk, but no action was taken, which was disappointing, especially as there were visible no-smoking signs. The view from the fourth floor is truly spectacular. We did have one uncomfortable moment when housekeeping entered our room from the deck around 9 a.m. while we were packing. We greeted her immediately; she apologised and left. There was a Koi pond in the main lobby was sad as the fish in the side pond had insufficient water to swim upright.  This hotel could be amazing. Its peaceful location on an otherwise busy island, along with the dramatic cliffside setting and pool deck, gives it enormous potential. Unfortunately, it feels like the property has passed its peak, leaving a sense of missed opportunity rather than what it could still become.
