Royale Chulan the Curve

The hotel service was very good. However, hygiene and safety need improvement. My 2-year-old woke up in the early morning scratching and throwing a tantrum. I saw his whole neck bulging. I also developed some red spots and itching on my thighs. There was also a needle stuck in the hotel sofa; thankfully we found it. If a 2-year-old had touched it, the consequences would have been unimaginable. The hotel needs to improve. The photos were taken the next morning; I had already applied medication to reduce the swelling and itching.

The main reason to stay here is the LOCATION! Covered walking distance to IKEA, IPC, Kidzania and The Curve which is right next to the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel is decent and and had quite some choices, they even have a special service where they push a cart to your table and serve Bagel and Burger Malaysia (Donut Sambal). The rooms are dated, after all, this is a 20 years old hotel, and they had renovated it recently so it is not that bad. I booked the Superior Queen but it could not accommodate my kids comfortably, and Fikri (the young receptionist) suggested to upgrade to Studio King Deluxe for an additional RM 160 per night which was well worth it. We got a huge room with a pull out sofa bed and we all had a comfy sleep for the duration we were there. The bad thing is the bathroom water pressure is terrible, so we could not really enjoy our shower. The bathroom hand wash basin is quite small so the water easily splash out when using it. And the air-con started to leak on the final night we were there and it leaked till we checked out. (Room 711) Parking is same floor as the The Curve parking space but different area and only accessible through the hotel entrance road. It is charging RM 9.90 per day which is standard rate. All in all, it is a comfy hotel and we will come back again one day!

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was very relaxing. Thank you for the great hospitality — we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!

The Curve located just nice and very convenient to shopping mall, IKEA and nearby restaurant which is just few steps away.

The staff is very friendly & warm. The room is decent and spacious. The hotel although older, is located just beside a big shopping mall & Ikea etc 💪🏻👍🏻

Poor maintenance hotel. When I enter to room floor level, after lift opening and walking along the room corridor, smell carpet is terrible and make me uncomfortable. The room design is old, TV is old with more 10 years old model. Mattress not comfort. Not coming back again

I’ve been staying in this hotel many times. Strategic location with shopping malls & IKEA around, 5-8 mins walk to MRT station. The room is spacious and clean. The only shortcoming is the variety of food for breakfast, too little choices, a bit disappointing.

The hotel look very old even the shower is not hot and toilet flush also breakdown which need to technician repair.Hotel Tv also not clear and old.hope to see improvement in future

Overall, the stay was okay. The breakfast was good and satisfying. However, I would recommend changing the bed as it seems quite old and caused some back pain.
