Booked for one night. Clean room and toilet with clean sheets and towels provided. Private room was sufficiently big for 2 of us (one large and one small luggage). Highly recommend if you’re looking for a no-frills place to soend the night (no TV in room). Walking distance to northbridge was a plus!

I had a lovely stay at The Local Hotel. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We had plans to spend a night on Rottnest Island before checking in for two nights at the hotel, and they kindly allowed us to store our luggage a day early. It was such a big favor and made our trip much more convenient. When we arrived, our luggage was already in our room, which was a nice touch. The room itself was stylish and modern. We opted for a corner room, which had three large windows, filling the space with natural light. The lighting in the room was also well done, creating a pleasant ambiance. Although the toilet and bathroom were shared, and there was some noise from the bar's music, the overall experience was enjoyable. These minor inconveniences were overshadowed by the positive aspects of our stay. Overall, I think The Local Hotel as a lovely place to stay. We had a nice experience.

The hostel has definitely improved recently based on past reviews. The whole place is cleaned daily, the kitchen is fully stocked with a free section that is replenished with bread and vegetables often. The staff are always around to help and are strict on rules about cleaning up which definitely helps the place. It's a great environment with a (slightly damaged) pool table free to use.

We regularly stay at Billabong when coming to Perth. we always find the staff very accomodating. The rooms are always clean, and we love having our own ensuite but still at the best prices in town! No noise problems as the walls are brick - no noisy creaky hallways etc! Parking available also (now for a small fee) breakfast is included - although we rarely make it down in time lol. It’s still there! Pool always looks great, but usually we are too busy to spend time around it. Always Highly recommend BILLABONG to everyone, friends and strangers.

We had an evening meal with friends midweek. This old pub has recently been refurbished and is a pleasant change from the loud yubby and trendy bars popping up all over the area. Good choice of beers on tap and a decent wine list. The meal was your usual ”pub grub” but done very well. The staff were very cheerful and pleasant. Well worth a visit if you are looking for someplace a bit traditional.
