Travelling 400 miles to Perth for my wifes Uncles funeral, we elected to use the Travelodge on the A9 for our three day stay. If we were being strictly honest, our expectations were not exactly sky high, our impression of the hotel group was purely utilitarian, with basic accommodation, on the whole. Well, one young lady showed us how wrong one can be. We were greeted by a warm and gracious smile from our receptionist, Brea, who made us feel as if we had made her day in arriving at her desk. Brea, booked us in quickly and efficiently, answering our questions about nearby restaurants and possible running venues (we're keen road runners). Brea's first piece of advice led to one of the most enjoyable meals we can remember. And, as for the second, she researched the available track routes, distances and terrain types, printed them off and gave us detailed descriptions of each (she is a runner too, it transpired) with hugely useful local insights as to what we might find appropriate based on our particular requirements. The accommodation turned out to be considerably better than expected (our ONLY critisism might be the small TV, bearing in mind how inexpensive the larger sets are now), and this, allied with Brea's obvious dedication to customer satisfaction, has altered for good our perspective on Travelodge. If Brea is a typical example of the kind of service we can expect from your hotels, you've converts in us. This girl is a sterling ambassador for your company, hold onto her.
