First visit to this hotel with husband and brother in-law (recently widowed). Although not situated on the seafront, it’s only a 5 minute walk into the resort centre with all the shops, bars and restaurants. The walk is downhill and therefore the uphill walk back might not suit everyone. We had taken note of some previous reviews being negative about work still being carried out, as the hotel has had a complete refurb. However this was minimal and unobtrusive- such as a bit of painting and fixing of new locks. The other negative comments were about the toilet within the room, having only frosted glass for privacy. If one of us needed the toilet the other would go out onto the balcony or if it was during the day the hotel had other toilet facilities near to reception. My brother in-law had his own room which happened to be suitable for disabled use, so no such embarrassing issues for him. The hotel in general was very clean from all public areas to the restaurant. Although we have never chosen to make a note of individual names, every staff member was pleasant and helpful when needed. The food choice was massive, something for everyone. On occasions it was not very hot, but there was a microwave. There is an outdoor eating area but we ate in every night. Men can wear dress shorts even though there was a notice entering the dining room stating long trousers. Drinks prices in the hotel were roughly the same as in the resort , sometimes even cheaper. Safe in room at a charge of 15 euros for the week. There was also a deposit of 10 euros , but you got this back when checking out. We stayed from 9th to 16th June and the hotel got busier as the week went on. Mainly Brits and Germans but a few other nationalities as well. It still amazes us why people have to be up at the crack of dawn to put towels on beds!! and then leave them empty until mid afternoon. It was a case of if you can’t beat them then join them, as most days there were no sunbeds available after 10am. Life guard on duty should monitor this. Pool towels available, given towel card at reception when checking in and towels from life guard. No swimming until 10am when lifeguard removed chains from around pool. Aqua aerobics in the pool every day and other activities like Pilates, darts and archery on certain days. Not enough sunbeds when it got busier, hotel should remove some of the tables and chairs and replace with more sunbeds. Pool lovely, cold, but great once you were in. This hotel suited our needs and we would happily return.

First impressions are amazing, hotel lobby & bar is beautiful. Check-in very fast with lovely staff, unfortunately the room we were given had a terrible view of a side street so asked to be moved. No problem at all and got a ground floor room right next to pool which meant only had to pop towels over rail onto the best sun beds we've ever had, more like queen sized beds! A Big issue for us was the bathroom or rather lack of it ! The refurbishment has gone for a minimalist look so there are two frosted glass boxes in the room one being the toilet and one for shower and sink in room. Alas only 8 coat hangers and two small drawers for storage so pack as light as you can ! Food was delicious with a great choice every day, breakfast and dinner. Bar staff in lobby bar amazing especially Veronica and Sebastian. Only issue is, quite rightly advertised as only 5mins to beach, which is correct but no mention of it being downhill (no problem) but uphill obviously on way back so consider any mobility issues as either steep steps or a long gradual climb. Even with bathroom situation and walk to the beach we would still go back as know what to expect.

We had a really lovely time at this hotel. Really enjoyed the pool areas (there’s a great little rooftop pool for cooling down along with a normal sized pool for swimming). There’s also an indoor pool which looked great but it was too hot for that! We checked out the gym - didn’t get round to using it despite good intentions, but the equipment looked great if that’s your thing. Breakfast and dinner suited all of us as there was plenty of choice each day. All staff were fantastic - helpful, very friendly and professional. We had a great time - two adults and a 16 year old, and would love to come back again.

We had a fantastic week there. Everything was perfect-friendly staff who couldn’t have been more helpful, even the lifeguard. The food was great, I even had Cava for breakfast on our anniversary, sitting outside in the garden which was beautiful. We had clean pool towels every day and the towels in our rooms were gorgeous and changed every day if you left them in the shower. Everywhere was spotless with beautiful plants and lovely interior design. Pool and pool areas were also lovely. The bathroom set up was unusual but not a problem. All in all 10 out of 10. We will definitely return.

Jet2 are not honest with this hotel. They say you get a bathroom with a shower but you don't. Typically of this company their response is that you can have what was promised if you pay a fee on top of that you have already paid. Put it like this: do you want to defecate in the room you are sleeping in? Because that is what you will be doing. If the answer is yes then, fine , go ahead. If on the other hand you think that a separate bathroom is essential then avoid like the plague There is nothing good about this hotel. The pool is tiny, the food bland, the staff lazy and entitled, the bedroom design awkward and unpleasant , the beds uncomfortable and you have a toilet in the corner of your room. I know I've mentioned that before but it's important isn't it?

Imagine an American prison cell. Then imagine one if some random American millionaire turned up and the prison guards made an effort The rooms are small, pokey and you'll live out of your suitcase as there's no storage to think of. There are two glass cubicles either side of the door on the way in. Ones the toilet, the others the shower. Both are adequate in their own way, but bathrooms exist for a reason, one of which is that hearing your nearest and dearest on the loo is something best avoided Breakfast is nothing special. Everything you'd expect from a Spanish hotel, but nothing else It's impossible to keep the room tidy as there's nowhere to put anything So far the only thing I've seen of any note, good or bad, is the charming and efficient young man on reception. There's nothing awful either. Mediocre fits the bill precisely.

Wonderful mini break for husband and myself celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary - the cava welcome drink at reception, to the room on the 5th floor, with sea views in the distance, where the staff had left us a hand written note, decorated the bed and bottle of bubbly were perfect. Staff were all lovely, the hotel position is in a quiet area but a short walk you’re on a stunning beach with lots of bars, shops and restaurants. The best of both worlds. The rooms are on the smaller side, but comfy beds, effective air con and clean so we had no trouble at all. Food is brilliant, and catered well for me being Coeliac and milk intolerant. GF bread provided every day and soya milk available at breakfast. Chefs were happy to take me along the food to tell me what was safe and I felt well looked after. Evening entertainment in the reception/bar area was good, we didn’t stay as walked to the town for a wander after dinner, but what we heard/saw looked great and didn’t go on late. Only ****** is the sun loungers, signs up saying you can’t reserve beds and they reserve the right to remove items, but this is never carried out and so it leads to the ‘early reservers’ bagging the best beds from 7:30am! We don’t get involved in that malarchy, so headed to the beach every day which is pristine, soft sand and crystal clear warm waters - perfection! The sunbeds to hire were €20.50 for two with an umbrella - it even had a safe on the umbrellas for your valuables to go in when you went in the sea - brilliant idea! If you’re looking for a quality hotel with delicious food and lovely staff in a quiet area this is 100% going to suit. If you like loud and full on hotels with late night entertainment, look elsewhere - this place was just perfect for us and we’d absolutely return! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice hotel, staff are lovely, food good, be aware of room design, they are nice and light but shower and toilet is IN the room behind frosted glass. This area is a bit hilly . It is a nice quiet area, not too quiet, safe. No pressure sales when browsing the shops or market. Son Amar is a must see show, absolutely amazing!!.

We stayed at the Somni as a base for visiting the ATP Tennis Open, and were very impressed. The rooms are clean and modern, if not a little on the small size. They could also do with some more storage space for clothes etc, however comfortable and airy. There are larger rooms available across the way. The food was great, well cooked and extensive choice at both breakfast and dinner. Eating outside on the large patio was very pleasant, and well protected from any noise which you might expect from such a central location. The pool areas were spacious, and relaxing, well protected from the local area and quiet. As a complete suprise they had enterainment on each evening in the bar area, very relaxing. 10 min walk to the beach, and a lovely beach at that. Plenty of shops, bars and resteraunts in the local area. Nice long walsk along the sea front in both directions from the hotel. The staff were polite and helpful, and the night staff in particular made our arrival and settling in very stress free
