Ladies and gentleman if you are used to staying at 3 star hotels you will be disappointed with this property unless you are just hard up. First the good: Beds were comfortable and clean (at least my room was) AC was adequate. Refrigerator in room The not so good. Horrible smell when you first enter the room. People - why? Customers are coming in . We appreciate the efforts of a clean room but why the harsh odors of cleaning chemicals and industrial solutions? It's a sign of cheap cleaning. No Way in hell would that expereince be found at a hotel that values it's guests. Rust stains in the bathtub undesirables on the property by the pool And a WHACKED-Out billing system! I stayed for one night. They took my money from my card before I even arrived. They sugar coat it by calling it an ”authorization”... how cute. They certainly didn't mind apologizing for it which is absolutely ridiculous because that is not an admission of how F'ed up it is, it's basically saying ' tough Sh*t'. Then minutes after I checked in, BAM, another $118 hit on my card. What? A charge for one night is fine, but not TWO! Again, they do not care. Im staying for one night people. I was out a total of $237 which wiped me out for dinner as my card declined when trying to pay for an item. What property does this? This one does. As a frequent traveler to Houston and other parts of the state, I know a good hotel when I'm there. I can testify that IHG hotels (Holiday Inn) do not pull those shenanigans as do not Candlewood Suites, Courtyard Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt properties. So watch out for that. All the can do to remedy the situation like that is to apologize over and over hoping you'll swallow it and go away. The next day the ”authorization” dropped off and my statement reflected only a one night charge. But the drama it caused was not worth this place. Sorry folks you cant just take and meddle with someone's money. Budget conscious travelers are not prepared for that, especially when other Hotel chains do not conduct business transactions that way. I learned my lesson good. I'll gladly pay $199 a night to stay at a more customer friendly property.

For the past year, I have been receiving medical treatments at a clinic in Pearland. It is near impossible for me to drive home after, so I always book a room at CY. It is the perfect location. I can walk to shops and restaurants, the pool/hot tub are always clean. The rooms are cold A/C, clean, comfortable beds - and safe. The hotel is very nice and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

This hotel is absolutely amazing, for the price you may expect less, but this hotel goes above and beyond. Since the moment you entered, Thomas in the front desk was absolutely kind and informative at our arrival. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are very spacious and clean, the coffee is delicious, the bed were really comfortable and my kids enjoyed the pool so much. The complementary breakfast is a big plus. I have 0 negative comments about our stay.

So the good- The bed was comfortable, very good air conditioning, quiet, bar attendant was attentive, wait staff attentive. The bad- Housekeeping was absent everywhere but the lobby. I am not indicating the every 3 day room cleaning as I don’t need daily attention. The fifth floor hallway had the same debris in it all week to the point I daily greeted the rubber, wrappers, and cello wrap. The carpet in my room was very dirty (someone had hole punched a document and punches were always on my feet. I had them room clean and I got fresh towels, no change to the condition of the carpet. I have been a Diamond member for quite some time and know they changed breakfast to a $10 food and beverage credit. Fine, it is nickel and diming, but fine. They credited this once in 5 days. No problem. I go to the front desk, the attendant wasn’t trained to fix this. She says she will fix, email me a corrected receipt, and give me a call to let me know it is done. Great! Other than it never happened. I have been struggling to get it corrected and a correct receipt for my expense report. Corp says on hotel can do it, hotel says only corp can do it. This is a third poor Hilton stay in the last few months. Colleagues have been having similar issues. Sorry, three strikes and guess who will not be aspiring to be Diamond or any other status next year.

Nice Rooms and a well kept older building. Updated rooms and neat and clean grounds. Continental Breakfast bar was good and coffee pot always brewing. Location is close to fast food restaurants and sit down dining venues. This Inn is walking distance to Walmart next door. Outdoor pool was clean and well maintained. Desk Clerks were very professional and cleaning staff very accommodating. Only drawback is there is no elevator, so if you struggle with stairs reserve a ground floor room. The In is approximately 15 minutes from Houston Hobby airport.

Very nice rooms and staff is great. They are undergoing renovations so workers were in the halls all day, but very respectful. Will stay there again in the future.

We like Holiday Inn, and this location is where we needed, so we booked a nonrefundable suite for a week. We wanted a place with a gym; it’s out of order due to flooding. The A/C is effective, but noisy enough to require ear plugs. The shower head either has a rim with no center, or a center blasting with no rim. Since it’s way high and we’re not real tall, this matters. The WiFi is very spotty in our room; I’ve turned it off. The precise timing required to get the key lock to work is weird (insert, remove, wait for the red light to go out, then about 1/10th second more, then it works — anything else and it’s try again). Frankly, it should just be insert, open. And there’s a giant security/publicity light that’s pointed at our room. It’s really bright, so there’s no way we can leave the curtains open to just look out. I rarely leave bad reviews; I’m pretty easy to please. And the bed is comfortable, the room is clean, and the breakfast is fine. But all the others kind of combine to be a rather regular irritant. If I hadn’t booked it nonrefundable, frankly, we’d probably just check out and find somewhere close with a working gym. I understand it’s not their fault that it flooded, but we really wanted it, darn it.
