Unfortunately for me it was a bitter disappointment because in many ways this city hotel could not live up to its expectations of a 4* hotel. In particular, in my opinion, this does not meet the requirements of a Centara Hotel in this category.
Luckily I only had to stay there for 2 nights and had a total of 10 deficiencies:
1. Room for 2 only includes a total of 1l of free drinking water for me as a “Centara The1 Gold Card” holder here instead of the usual 2l (4 bottles).
2. Free room upgrade not possible because I was already on the top 7th floor and the family rooms are apparently also worn out, just bigger
3. Showering despite the glass door being closed means flooding the bathroom floor, which then becomes dangerously slippery and the shower cubicle is probably not tight
4. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper until departure since arrival!
5. Room cleaning was poor, the desk had the same sticky residue every day, the chair in front of it had stains, there was a long black hair stuck to the wall of the shower cubicle since we arrived that was not removed until we left
6. The minibar/fridge was extremely dirty and leaked water on the floor due to broken seals. When this was replaced, someone had the stupid idea of placing a glass bottle lying down in it. When I opened it, it rolled onto the floor and broke into many small shards of glass.
7. All 4 glasses in the room were dirty!
8. The sink was both dirty and broken with various cracks. The faucet at the sink was unkempt, cold and dirty.
9. The trash can in the toilet looked almost as unkempt and shabby as the hotel room in general, but still had the charm of a horror film.
10. A "vanity kit" was only available on the hotel's website, but could not be found in the room.
I immediately notified the hotel of all of these problems and provided pictures to prove this. The employee at the reception agreed that the hotel should urgently invest here and informed the management.
I didn't notice any major deficiencies in the included breakfast. Due to the limited space and the large number of Indian guests, few international/Western dishes were offered and the number of Thai dishes was usually only one.
The employees were friendly and helpful.
Overall, I can only see the quality of a 3* hotel here and only just.
