Crystal Palace Luxury Hotel Pattaya

This hotel is just an average five-star. The pool facilities are quite good, but unfortunately, there are too many Chinese tour groups staying here, which spoils the nice environment. Breakfast is mediocre, almost entirely catering to Chinese tour groups. The lobby staff's service attitude isn't great. The rooms are quite large with balconies, which is comfortable, but breakfast is almost entirely taken over by Chinese tour groups, and it's extremely noisy.

The hygiene was really poor. The towels had stains on them, which I suspected might be feces – that's a huge minus already, and it makes me question if any of the other amenities were properly cleaned. The facilities were also incomplete; there were no slippers or toothbrushes, so you need to bring your own. The room lighting wasn't adequate, and the light switches were a bit illogical. Plus, the hairdryer broke while I was using it, and hotel staff had to arrange a new one; they even initially tried to get someone to come and repair it. The shower pressure was sometimes insufficient, like an old man peeing! For me, the overall stay was unsatisfactory, and I wouldn't recommend it to friends. Although it was cheap, I'd rather pay more for a better place. The location isn't particularly convenient either. Avoid this place!

The room doors were a bit old, but it was fair for the price. The front desk service was excellent, and bellboys were available to help with luggage. My room wasn't cleaned on schedule; I'm not sure why. Out of my four-day stay, it was only cleaned once.

Breakfast was good, but make sure to choose a room in the buildings facing the pool, otherwise you won't have a balcony. The location is also convenient, with a 7-Eleven downstairs and close proximity to Terminal 21 and the North Pattaya Bus Terminal.

The hotel is relatively close to the Sanctuary of Truth, about 1.x kilometers away. However, it's quite far from Terminal 21 and the bustling beach area. The upside is that there are various restaurants and massage parlors along the way. The downside is that you'll need to rely on songthaews for all your transportation, and during the May Day holiday, with many Thais also on vacation, the roads were extremely congested. My advice is to prioritize places closer to Terminal 21 for easier access. The air conditioning in the room blew very cold. Even though it was directed towards the window, the cold air bounced back to the head of the bed, and the bed faced a mirror... I woke up feeling cold in the morning because the air blew all night. Turning it up made it too hot, and turning it down just increased the fan speed, making it cold again. The AC filter was extremely dirty, covered in a layer of dust, and the bathroom exhaust fan was the same. It felt unhealthy. It seems like they host a lot of tour groups. A 1000 baht deposit is required, and they'll give you a receipt. Make sure to proactively present the receipt when checking out to get your deposit back, as the front desk won't remind you... speechless... Breakfast was decent for a couple of days, but eating it more than that would get repetitive.
