Akara Hotel Pattaya

Clean, convenient location, and excellent service – I had a very pleasant stay. I was here for a business trip, and I'll definitely come back next time. There are so many great food options nearby!

The room was clean and tidy, though a bit small. The location is excellent – only a five-minute walk to Terminal 21 and less than ten minutes to the Tiffany's Show. The beach is also very close, perfect for an early morning stroll when it's less crowded and the water is beautifully blue. Central Festival shopping mall is about 1.5 km away, and there's a Pop Mart right downstairs. However, I found the hotel staff to be less than enthusiastic. A staff member was mopping the floor, and I nearly slipped, but she just stood there laughing, which really upset me. Also, there wasn't anyone at the front desk who spoke Chinese. Considering how many Chinese tourists visit, they should really have someone who speaks fluent Chinese.

Check-in was a bit slow, and the pool seemed more for show than for actual swimming. The room was a little small, and it was a bit noisy being right next to the elevator. Otherwise, the cleanliness was fine, and everything else was okay.

The room was small but had everything we needed. The service was good; they extended our check-out by an hour, and when I left a piece of clothing behind, the front desk found it for me. The rooftop pool is absolutely stunning! I hadn't planned on going up, but I checked it out on the last day and it was beautiful. I wish I'd known sooner; I wouldn't have bothered going to the beach to sunbathe and see the sea. Pattaya is too hot; it's practically impossible to go out during the day, so enjoying the sea view from the hotel pool was a great alternative!

The hotel is conveniently located opposite Terminal 21, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Dining and shopping options are easily accessible. It's also very close to Chinatown. The hotel's breakfast is just average. The rooftop infinity pool offers a decent view. Overall, it's a good stay with mid-to-high value for money.
