Hotel Scarlett

My family (2 adults & 2 teens) had the opportunity to spend 1 evening at the Hotel Scarlett, which is in the 20th Arrondissement, before traveling back home. The hotel is super cute and was located in walking distance to restaurants, transportation, and grocery markets. The staff was super friendly during our stay. We were assigned to room 602 which is on the main floor. It is a large room across from the breakfast area and has it's own little courtyard before entering the actual room. The room has a queen bed, pull out couch, sitting chair and a large TV and fairly large bathroom, it does not have a "look out" window, but lots of natural light flows in via the courtyard and the bathroom does have a window in it too. (Unfortunately, for us, there wasn't an ample curtain/blinds to cover the window in the bathroom especially for showering at night. We remedied that by propping cardboard and towels over the window for privacy.) Overall, we would possibly stay here again, if only a night or two. We spent the majority of our stay in the 7th Arrondissement and liked that area better for seeing the Paris sites. Hotel Scarlett is right near a metro station, so if you're comfortable /knowledgeable using that, then staying at the hotel may be a more cost effective way to see the Paris sites, without having the expensive hotel costs in the city center.

We decided to stay at this hotel even though it is a little further out if you are there to see all of the main touristy places. However, there are two metro stations very close to it that we used the entire time we were there to get wherever we needed too. Elie was working the desk when we checked in and every morning when we came down to leave for the day. He was awesome, he always asked us what we had planned for the day and gave suggestions and answered all of our questions. Our room was nice and perfect for us. The only issue was the bathroom door made an incredibly loud noise when you opened and closed the door but we honestly didn't care enough to say anything to the front desk. The room/hotel was clean, and staff were super nice. It is in an area that may not look as nice as some of the more upscale areas but we never felt unsafe and would definitely stay here again!

Excellent traditional classic hotel. All the perks that one could ask for. Very conveniently located. Would definitely return.

Lovely clean hotel with friendly helpful staff. Room was a good size as was the shower room. Just a short distance from the metro. restaurants and supermarket a very short walk. Would highly recommend a stay here and when we return to Paris will definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Scarlett. The property is amazing, and all staff are so friendly and attentive - we really could not have asked for more. Thank you so much for an incredible week in your beautiful city.

Very clean comfortable and good sized rooms with excellent shower. The hotel is a short hop into the centre of Paris from Pyrenees metro 5 mins walk. There were good bakeries and supermarkets nearby plus lots of different restaurants for the evening too. The staff were friendly and very nice. Would stay again.

The room and bathroom were fine. The young lady at the reception desk was outstanding. The problem was that mice came into our room and went into our luggages attracted by some small packs of cookies and nuts that we carried for snacks. The noise and raffle the mice made kept up awake so we could understand what was making all that noise. Then we were able to see where the mice came from and attempted to plug the hole. Obviously our night was pretty much wasted. The next morning we advised the young lady at the reception desk that there were mice in our room. She was very apologetic and offered us free breakfast which we could not accept due to our travel schedule. I was still expecting a message from the Scarlett's management that they had identified the mice problem and corrective measures were in place. But I have not heard or received anything and to this day I do not know if any action was taken to clean the mice issue. So I am disappointed by the Scarlett management and I would obviously not returned to this hotel nor would I recommend the Scarlett to anybody.

Amazing hotel, great service and the staff working there was super friendly and lovely! Location is great, close to subways, easy to get around. Rooms and lobby where great, clean and very fresh. Loved our stay and will come back. Thank you for making our stay wonderful ＜3

Nice lobby and friendly staff at reception. Unfortunately our stay was let down by some simple mistakes and maybe a bit of a lack of maintenance. We arrived and checked in on a hot day, staff on reception were friendly and check in was quick. When we got to the room we needed to get in the shower and found there were no towels in the room, no soap to wash hands with and the bins hadn't been emptied from the last guests. At reception we were given shower towels, though no hand towel and were told that they don't have soap for the sinks, and were given some extra shower gel instead. I often feel it's wasteful to provide a big bar of soap, especially when guests are staying one night, but a soap dispenser for washing hands seems like a very basic item not to provide. Otherwise, the room seemed clean and comfortable enough, except for the air conditioning which barely cooled the room, even when left running for hours. Might need some maintenance, or at least a fan providing like we were given when the air conditioning didn't seem to work in our hotel nearby the week before. All in all, a reasonably nice hotel in an interesting and lively part of Paris, but let down by some simple oversights and maintenance issues. Hopefully just a bad day for the hotel, as other reviews seem to suggest better.
