Hotel Paix Republique

I stayed at the hotel from March 18 to March 27, 2024. The booking for the room was initially made 6 months before arriving. About 3 months before arriving I needed to make adjustments to my stay. This was difficult due to the language barrier and the willingness of the customer service representative at the front desk to assist. However, this is where the difficulty ended. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was quickly booked into my room which had a wonderful view of the Boulevard Saint Martin. The room and bathroom were large enough for two even though I was traveling solo. The room was clean. A tea kettle, small drink refrigerator, safe, hair dryer, and TV (that allowed for SmartView casting from an Android device) were made available. Housekeeping was stellar as they visited regularly, did a thorough job, and would leave you alone when requested. The room was warm and could be cooled by opening the window. The view was typical Parisian. The water pressure in the shower was strong but needed to be lessened slightly or the water ended up on the floor. Clean towels were provided daily. The front desk assisted with Uber Eats and Taxi services. They were really helpful throughout the stay. There was an elevator provided that was in good working order. The best feature of the hotel is its location. It is right next to a grocery store, pharmacy, fast food eateries, and restaurants. It is easy for Taxi services to pick up and drop off. It is next to 2 Velib (bicycle stations). Most importantly, a metro exit is steps away from the hotel's front door. This may not seem important, but when you are walking all day it helps. I felt lucky to find this hotel and highly recommend it! Do I plan on staying there again? Definitely!

So if you're looking for something large and luxurious with all the frills, this one isn't for you, but if, like me, you just want somewhere clean and comfortable to stay without breaking the bank this one fits the bill perfectly. It's a stone's throw from the Place de la Republique and the lovely Marais district which has a range of cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes/budgets, and there's also a metro stop literally outside the front door (just a few stops direct from the Gare du Nord if you're travelling in by Eurostar), so the location is excellent. Staff very friendly and welcoming, with a 24-hour door service should you need it. Rooms are small but spotless, beds very comfortable, wifi fine, not much in the way of soap, shampoo and whatnnot but I always bring my own anyway. Usual continental breakfast perfectly ok, plenty of places nearby if you want something cooked. For the price, very difficult to beat I'd say.

Great location conbenient to metro and restaurants. The staff was super friendly and very very helpful. I had heavy bags and i am in my mid 60’s. The desk clerk without my asking carried my suitcases to the elevator. He also organized a taxi to the airport and other helpful things

I am so glad we chose this hotel for our visit to Rome. The staff is so friendly and the rooms are small but very comfortable. There is a breakfast for a reasonable cost with coffee, fruit, crossaints, yogurt, and it was lovely. There is a metro stop 6 feet from the door and the concierge (Raphique?) walked us through every step. I would definitely stay here again. It is reasonable and worth every cent. Also, we could see the top of the Eiffel tower from the 5th floor, What a view!

Rafiq on the front desk was great. Room 109 was small and a little tired but it is a 3 star. Very convenient to République Métro, which has the most lines in the whole of Paris. Maison Mae around he corner in Rue Chateau d’Eau was the best Boulanger we found in Paris. Great family business worth supporting. We ate at L’Pacyderme next door to the hotel which was fun.

Lovely staff, nice hotel and conveniently located next to the metro and restaurants.

Go for the twin beds, our bed and room was very small and not well sound proofed. Grand place to put the head down for a relatively cheap night in Paris,

Very helpful staff. Good location - very near metro and many restaurants within walking distance. Room slightly on the small side but very clean and well equipped. Swift lift available for access to all floors.
