Hotel Trianon Rive Gauche Reviews

The hotel's location is fantastic. We could easily walk to Notre Dame and all the attractions in the Latin Quarter. From our window, we could see a pharmacy and Carrefour right downstairs, and there's a bakery just around the corner. The metro station is about a seven or eight-minute walk away, passing a McDonald's on the way, which was convenient for grabbing a late-night bite after exploring. We checked in close to midnight, and the front desk clerk was incredibly kind, giving us a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. We were so pleasantly surprised to see it sparkling right as we entered the room! For the deposit, we paid 200 euros in cash, and getting it back at checkout was very easy. Upon arrival, they gave us a small can of peanuts, and the mini-bar had three drinks, though these weren't replenished. We anticipated the room might be small, but it was actually perfectly fine for two people. The hotel has a charming, antique-style small elevator that fits two people or one person with a suitcase. The cleanliness was good; the sheets smelled fresh, and the room was cleaned daily. As it's an old building, there was a slight musty smell, but having windows in both the room and bathroom made a big difference.

This hotel is conveniently located in the 5th arrondissement, not far from several metro stations. It's about a 15-minute walk to Notre Dame Cathedral and the Seine River, and under 30 minutes to the Louvre. The rooms are not large but they are clean and tidy, and it's quiet at night for a good sleep. The breakfast spread is quite good and delicious. The front desk staff are very helpful and welcoming. We stayed for 3 nights, and at around 1500 RMB per night including city tax, it's a very good value-for-money option in central Paris.

The hotel is quite close to the Orden metro station, but you have to walk up a narrow, uphill sidewalk to get there. However, there are several metro and bus stations nearby, making it very convenient for getting around. The neighborhood feels very safe, with university student dorms right across the street. The staff, usually students, are helpful with directions. There are several affordable supermarkets like Carrefour Express and Franprix close by, as well as many bakeries and small restaurants. You can also walk to Notre Dame on Île de la Cité in under 15 minutes, and the Luxembourg Gardens are right behind the hotel. The hotel's decor has a charming, old-world feel, clearly showing the building's age. There's a very small, but surprisingly fast, elevator. In the afternoon, complimentary tea and coffee are available in the lobby during tea time. Upon check-in, guests receive cookies, caramel peanuts, soft drinks, and a bottle of drinking water (only on the first day). Teacups and wine glasses are provided, but oddly, no teaspoons (?). You'll need to ask the front desk for those. The reception staff are very friendly and quick to assist. The room's aisle isn't very wide; you'll need to adjust the chair to open two suitcases simultaneously. However, there's a good-sized walk-in closet and a very spacious bathroom. There's also a balcony with a view of about two-thirds of the Eiffel Tower (as pictured). The bed is large and comfortable, and the room is clean and hygienic with excellent air conditioning and heating. The bathroom is also very clean, stocked with Nuxe honey-scented shampoo/shower gel combo, hand soap, and body lotion (they smell wonderful!).

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Paris, definitely worth it. It's also in the safest area, in the 5th arrondissement. I loved it.

Very friendly helpful reception staff. Room was small but usual for Paris. A few minor maintenance issues (there was a gap around the door meaning the corridor light shone in a little) but location and price were excellent.

I am happy of having stayed there, very comfortable rooms, very polite all the personal, very good breakfast and well located. I will be back!!

The hotel was in a great location, close to essential shops, transport links as well as the Luxembourg gardens. Many good restaurant options around as well. The staff were always friendly and available to answer any questions we had and help us where needed. The room was kept well with the balcony especially the view of the Eiffel Tower. Rooms had both AC and central heating which was a plus. Would 100% recommend on your next trip to Paris.

The hotel is amazing. Comfortable beds, enough space in the room. Very clean and tidy. Every day you get complementary coffee. :) The location is perfect right. Netflix on tv. Definitely will return when in Paris.

Explained to hotel that due to US Iran war, my flight from SG to Paris got cancelled as there was a layover in Dubai. I even attached proof of cancellation but hotel refused to give refund, very bad ethics. Will not book when I travel to Paris next time
