Chinese people don't deceive Chinese people – this was the worst accommodation experience ever! My six friends and I came to Bohol for the May Day holiday. We arrived at noon to check in at the front desk, and the staff member was incredibly slow, almost as if they were deliberately dragging it out until closing time. After about half an hour, they told the seven of us in our group to come back at 3 PM. We returned at 3 PM and waited another half an hour. Once we got into the room, it looked nothing like the pictures on the booking platform. There were mosquitoes and cockroaches, and by nightfall, all sorts of flying ants. This is, without a doubt, the absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed at in all my global travels.

This hotel is great for families and vacations with kids, boasting a lovely private beach where you can relax, sunbathe, and snorkel. The breakfast spread is excellent, and the terrace bar is a nice touch. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is a bit older, so some facilities feel a little dated.

This was the worst and most expensive hotel I stayed at during my Cebu/Bohol trip. Seriously, if you don't have to, don't go to Bohol – it's overpriced, crowded, and noisy. The hotel facilities are really old and not well-maintained. It's also a bit of a walk to Alona, taking over 20 minutes. Their shuttle leaves when it's full, so if you don't get a spot, you'll likely have to pay for a tuk-tuk or walk. Breakfast was just okay; they had a lot of options, but none of it tasted very good.

This hotel was the most disappointing one I stayed at during my trip to Bohol. The hotel environment is nice, and the pool is large enough, with very enthusiastic staff. However, getting to the beach requires a car, as it's a bit far to walk and the path is somewhat secluded. The room facilities are quite old, and the shower in the bathroom didn't even have a door. I booked a triple room for two adults and one child, but all the consumables in the room were only for two people. It pales in comparison to Mithi's complimentary snacks and drinks, and even falls short of much smaller hotels. There were no disposable slippers, only two pairs of flip-flops, which I didn't dare to wear as I wasn't sure if they had been disinfected. By the pool, there's a game room with billiards, table tennis, board games, and karaoke, though the song list is entirely in English and Korean.

BE grand is a beautiful resort it is 5 stars, on paper, but it stops there. For a simpler hotel I would have been ok with what the room had, but for a 5 start I expect that everything is working. In our room the light in the wardrobe was never switching off, would have been simple to be repaired. When they cleaned it was not obvious that they put in new towels if they took the old, refilled with toilet paper when it was almost out. There is no Kleenex in the room and due to getting sick I asked for it. I got toilet paper instead. I have never been to a good hotel that doesn’t have Kleenex in the rooms. The aircon in our room was ok, but definitely not as good as our friends. The breakfast was ok, but not a 5 star experience. The quality of the food was just not there. We waited 15 min for butter, the freshly made rice noodles was under boiled. There is no hot water and tea if you don’t request it. I would not pay extra for this breakfast, better to go out eating somewhere else. The beach was better than expected, eventhough it is not a sand beach. They have made the best to make it nice anyhow. An improvement would be to also have a ladder to the open sea, not only the safe sea pool. Another is to let the guests swim or use the paddle board longer than 17.00. The pool is ok. Pity a large part is only for the villas.

The hotel environment is fantastic, and the location is super convenient. The room was very comfortable, but what impressed me most were the ladies at the restaurant in the morning – they were amazing! So warm, thoughtful, and their smiles were truly healing. The hotel offers free kayaking and snorkeling to find starfish, which is a big plus! 😎 However, my room card kept deactivating, though it was always resolved promptly. The weather in the Philippines was quite cool, so swimming at the hotel was really cold. I had just finished swimming and was heading back to my room wrapped in a towel when I found my room card had deactivated again. I went to the front desk, and the lady there actually made me wait in line??? I was speechless, freezing cold, and it was their room card that had issues, so why should I bear the inconvenience? But there was a handsome guy at the front desk who was fantastic; he helped resolve it immediately. This guy was great throughout my entire vacation, I just forgot to ask his name! 😂

This is a decent resort with good value for money, perfect if you're using it as your sole base in Bohol. It's a notch below a typical resort in Sanya, China, but still offers standard five-star hotel amenities. What sets it apart from Sanya hotels is the excellent snorkeling right off the shore. The hotel provides free life vests, so even kids can enjoy it (safety first!). There are plenty of fish in the water, and you can easily find starfish – in fact, we later realized starfish are quite common around Bohol. If you're looking for more diverse marine life, you'll need to take a boat further out. The breakfast buffet is standard, with a good variety, and always features at least one roasted meat daily. The lunch and dinner restaurants are a bit pricey for what you get, though the dining environment is lovely. There's also a quiet rooftop restaurant on the fourth floor above the guest rooms. Given its location near Alona Beach, a fairly bustling area, you can easily order food delivery to the hotel lobby via apps, and there's a shuttle service to Alona. Being close to both the airport and Alona makes it an ideal first hotel in Bohol. You can then use it as a base to book sardine snorkeling and island hopping tours, even directly through Ctrip.

I had a wonderful stay at BE Grand Resort Bohol with my parents, and it was truly a memorable experience. The resort’s beautiful beachfront setting and relaxing atmosphere made it perfect for a family getaway. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. It was a special trip for us, and I’d gladly come back again.

We spend about 4 days in last Feb~March with my family. this accommodation is really good for family stay because, there is good facilities for swimming even for child and they can provide the kayak and sea open pools as well. the food is also really good. we really enjoyed every breakfast. we will stay in this hotel once we have any chance to visit in Bohol again in near future.

This hotel is perfect for families looking for a peaceful environment while remaining close to the city center — only a short five-minute tuk-tuk ride away. Despite being a large resort, it never feels overwhelming and remains very pleasant throughout the stay. The pools are excellent for children, making it a great choice for families. The ocean view is stunning and truly adds to the overall experience. Although there isn’t a white sandy beach, the hotel offers direct access to the sea, which is ideal for snorkeling right off the property. The food is tasty and served in generous portions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff is welcoming and attentive. Altogether, it’s a lovely place to stay.

1. The front desk service was incredibly inefficient. When I was checking in, there was a female staff member who had a terrible attitude, completely ignoring me. I was standing right in front of her, in line, stating I wanted to check in, and she didn't say a word. Instead, she waved over two men next to me, letting them cut in line. After waiting a long time, I asked her if I should move to the next counter, and she just said 'whatever.' I was speechless and ended up complaining to the lobby manager. 2. The hotel is quite old and doesn't have a beach. The air conditioning worked well, but the decor is really outdated. 3. The snorkeling right outside is also very poor, full of seaweed and sea urchins. It can't compare at all to Modala, the other place we stayed. The only upside is that you can watch the sunset from here. 4. Breakfast was decent. The shuttle to Alona was hot and crowded, making me feel that staying here just because it's close to Alona isn't worth it. Out of the three hotels we stayed at in Bohol, this one was the least value for money. I recommend Modala.
