Pangkor Laut Resort - Small Luxury Hotels of the World

It was an amazing experience to be on the private island, every staff in the hotel is the best part there. All of them are very welcoming and super helpful, it's so good to see how caring are they for every guest staying on their island. The shuttle services from one location to another helped us to visit every major part of the island. We enjoyed the sunset and swim at Emerald Bay which is so memorable, definitely will recommend everyone spend the late afternoon at Emerald Bay as you will find a wonderful sunset and great bar to hang out there. We enjoyed our stay in Pangkor Laut Resort.

You will not regret if you visit this hotel. Incredibly good service. The rooms are very clean, large and spacious with an incredibly beautiful view. The beach is 3 minutes away, but you have to go by shuttle bus, which you don't have to wait for because it comes immediately on call. There are 3 restaurants. separately on the beach there is a small restaurant that serves the hotel. The breakfast is rich with different choices.

I stayed 3 days 2 nights here in March 24, for a short gets away from city. Stayed in Spa villa. Stunning natural surroundings, beautiful clean private beach which you can see sunset from the beach. Clean water. The natural part of this resort is awesome! But there are a few lots other things which I think could be better, if I compare those with other similar price hotel in Penang or other places around Malaysia. The facilities doesn't match the price paid. Here's a few of them: 1. No bidet in the room. Makes things harder, especially after filling the super big spa tub, I wonder how do we just release the water without simply cleaning of the tub before the next person using it or the next time u want to use it. Very inconvenient. The water flow is very small as well. 2. The overall facilities seems to be a bit old. The water flow in the sink is also quite slow. 3. The mattress is too soft and sagging. Like this has been used for long years which the middle sinking. Pillow is too soft, which makes the neck has no support. With combine the two, I have neck pain even though staying for only two nights and keep waking up middle of the nights to change sleep position. I think a good bed n pillow is almost the soul of a good resort, thus this is really a bit miss to me. As a Malaysian, I think this is really a bit average. Food is ok, no 'wow' feeling. Very common local Malaysia food with normal taste. The staffs are friendly and nice!

Went there with family, we all enjoyed the stay there so much. It's an beautiful island. The staffs are friendly.

We had the worst avocado dessert (Very very very sweet like sugar water without avocado taste at all) of my life at Restaurant Uncle Lim. Even when I commented to the restaurant chef, their response was unsatisfactory. Apparently, they recently changed suppliers, yet they still charged us for the avocado dessert. After I signed the bill, I complained to the hotel reception management. The lady said she would check, but even after we checked out, the avocado dessert was still on the bill. What a hopeless small luxury hotel.

initial booking was last minute changed by Trip due to kids were not allowed by resort to stay in the room we had booked. Was completely not happy when Trip called, cause was so looking forward for the Sea View Villa. Trip should have blocked or not able to book the room if there are kids in the first place. But Trip quickly compensated with Trip Coins and the Villa that we’re received was beyond our expectations. Really happy and satisfied with our stay! Will definitely plan our next Trip again for sure. Anyways summary if you’re travelling with kids, do note that Sea Villa unable to accommodate kids. Thank you Trip for best deal!

Probably one of the best island resort in malaysia. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Rooms were comfortable but slightly dated. Internet connectivity can be improved. Options for supper would be great.

We are very disappointed with the recent stay in this hotel. Many staff there are new and not well train, especially the check in and check out bad experience we encountered. Water and beaches are full of rubbish and spoilt our holiday mood. However, we really like the excellent service provided by Robin in Fisherman's Cove restaurant. He really did a good job and gave us an unforgettable memory there. Thank you very much!
