Portofino Mallorca

I recently stayed at a hotel and would like to share my review based on different aspects. The location of the hotel was quite good, earning a score of 4. It was conveniently close to a beautiful beach. However, the hotel was a bit far from the city center, which may be a drawback for some guests. In terms of service, the hotel staff was excellent, receiving a score of 5. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a satisfying stay. Cleanliness was another positive aspect of the hotel, deserving a score of 5. The rooms and common areas were well-maintained and tidy. However, there were a few drawbacks in terms of amenities. The rooms were quite small, and the soundproofing was not great, resulting in noise from the adjacent rooms and hallway. Additionally, the balcony was located too close to the neighboring room, which compromised privacy. Overall, the hotel had a good location near the beach (4/5) and provided excellent service (5/5). The cleanliness was also top-notch (5/5). However, the small room size, poor soundproofing, and proximity of the balcony to the next door were areas for improvement (4/5).

Lovely little hotel about 10 mins from the airport. Absolutely immaculate from the reception, to the rooms and communal areas. Staff extremely friendly & very helpful. We got a taxi from the airport which was about €15 Plenty of local places to eat & drink nearby. There is also a little supermarket just in the opposite street. We didn’t eat at the hotel but the food looked & smelled delicious We hired bikes for the day €14 each & cycled into Palma (approx 45 mins but we stopped in the way) We also walked into Palma a few times which took about an hour, at a slow pace as lots to see in the way! Taxi back from just outside the Cathedral was about €10. We also got the no35 bus which leaves from the bus stop on the Main Street and takes about 30mins into Palma Overall a lovely hotel would definitely return

We spent a lovely 5 nights at the Portofina, our first visit to Mallorca and the Balearics. Approx 15 minutes from the airport, 2 roads back from a fantastic beach. We were greeted by a friendly and helpful lady on reception who checked us in and was always very helpful throughout our stay. Our room was a little on the small size but was extremely clean, the bed was very comfortable, we had an excellent power shower and great views over the rooftops and out to sea. Breakfast was a little pricey on first impressions but was very nice, a very good selection of cheeses, meats, eggs, pastries and fruit with hot drinks. We found the location of the hotel excellent, no loud bars or clubs but with enough restaurants and bars within a 5 - 20 minute walk to keep us entertained. The bus to Palma will get you into town in 15 mins is just 5 minutes from the hotel. We hired bicycles and enjoyed the extensive bike lanes within the local neighbourhood taking you all the way to Palma and beyond. Fantastic hotel, in a great location with friendly staff. Couldn't ask for more for the money we paid and we would definitely stay again.

The Portofino Hotel had been recommended to us by friends and it certainly lived up to all our expectations and more! It is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, and from the moment we arrived we knew this hotel was something special. Everyone in the hotel was so friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. As for the rooms, they were pristine, the beds so comfortable, bathrooms spotless. The mini fridge was a wonderful addition too and everyday the rooms were serviced. The rooftop bar Essence is a little gem with the most stunning views of the sea and promenade and the food and drinks were fab. Food in the restaurant by the pool was also excellent. We enjoyed some great poolside lunches. And again the pool was spotless and the pool area so well looked after. Our family of four loved this hotel and we all can’t wait to visit again, and hopefully for longer. Thank you for the most wonderful memories and the most wonderful stay Portofino Hotel❤️

Though we only stayed here 1 night before flying home we had a great time. The staff we wonderful & gave us a really good room plus arranged a taxi for us the following day. We loved the rooftop bar as the sun was setting with again great service & very chilled out music, beautiful. Great location & everywhere was clean & fresh. Would stay here again. Thank you.

We stayed for 4 nights, small rooms but very clean and plenty of storage and AC and a good shower. The downside was there was only one plug for the room, bring an extension cable. The hotel is yards from the beach, in a lovely quiet location with excellent restaurants around. If you are looking for a quite stay away from the crowds we would recommend this hotel. The staff were lovely and helpful, and breakfast was very European with fresh fruits and deli meats and cheeses.

Staff very helpful, particularly when chasing coach being late after checking out. Breakfast was average, location good as we were only a few steps to the beach. Great walk to Palma but wear sensible footwear. Palma is beautiful and very cosmopolitan, sating places by the hundreds, fantastic buildings

We have just returned from our 4 night stay at the Portofino Hotel in Mallorca! The highlights for me about this hotel are how close it is to the beach (literally a 30 second walk), the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms, the staff are soooo lovely and super helpful and the best part about the stay in my opinion! The lady who works behind the bar (Blondish brown hair) and the two gents on reception were particularly helpful throughout our stay. The lady working the bar made sure that I wasn’t drinking anything I couldn’t being dairy free so that’s reassuring! 1 and only downside for me and honestly if I would have said something maybe it could have been improved was breakfast, as someone with a vegan diet that options were limited and I had a bit of fruit and toast each day. Again, it wasn’t awful by any means but maybe some extra toast toppings would be awesome like avocado, peanut butter or just beans? The only beans they had, also had sausages in them. Again I think if I’d highlighted I was vegan maybe I could have been given more options but I never want to be a bother to the staff! Would definitely return here in the future. Also for anyone like me who likes peaceful sleeping do not be put off that they have a sky bar, I heard nothing in my room at night and we were opposite it! I would also maybe suggest if you’re a light sleeper maybe ask to be put away from the stairs as guests seem to make a lot of noise coming up and down them at night and banging doors haha!

A great location easy to walk to the beach and a lot restaurants just a few minutes away lots of choice. To get to Palma its a long walk , cab or bus or bike (the hotel can provide you with for a small charge) we did it all.The beach is clean and beautiful sadly i got my bag stolen so be careful so did someone next to us the next day .However it still seemed like a safe lovely area.I would still go back.The rooms are clean and modern but fairly basic the bed was very comfortable. Our only issue was lack of plug sockets only 2 in the room also no tea or coffee .The breakfast was average. The pool was very nice.The staff were all lovely. A fabulous loction also close to the air port.We thought it was good value and a lovely stay.
