Excellent hotel for the price. Room was slightly small but clean and good air con. All the staff were friendly especially the life guard and the pool bar staff. Good selection of drinks at the pool bar which are reasonably priced. The pool area was well maintained and clean. Breakfast was the same every day, toast, eggs, cheese, ham, yoghurt, cereal, salad etc. The hotel is in a good location and only a couple of minutes walk down to the town area. Excellent value for money.

Just returned home from a fantastic holiday at the palatino hotel in kefalonia, 14th June, what a great hotel, rooms really good hot water morning and night, spotlessly clean, small fridge, brilliant hair dryer in bathroom, towels changed every day if needed, bedding every three days, breakfast really good quality food, plenty of choice with hot and cold dishes, staff friendly helpful nothing to much trouble, pool and pool bar area good my one and only complaint they would benefit with toilets near the pool, can't wait to go back, loved it xxxxx

A very nice hotel . Breakfast was included and served between 8-10am . All the staff were friendly and efficient. It’s a 5 minute walk to Lixouri town centre / square . What a beautiful place that is . Would highly recommend for the price we paid .

This hotel is located up a short hill with great views over Lixouri, the sea and mountains beyond. Rooms at the rear overlook the garden and get the evening sunshine. It’s a nice homely hotel with really comfy beds which is unusual for Greece. The rooms are adequate and cleaned daily with towel changes as well. The bathroom is functional with piping hot water but 204 is in need of a bit of TLC. Bit of mould in the shower and there was a very rusty shower pipe and large shower head which really doesn’t need to be there as there is a newer smaller flexible shower which does the job! Breakfast is served 8- 10 and is a good mix of some hot food, salad, fruit, bread, eggs and Greek yogurt. The pool area is very nice with a great bar which does snack as well all very reasonably priced. There is a great number of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the outdoors and a good number of sunbeds but they are a bit dated with no adjustments so not very comfortable, take a couple of towels! We had some great evenings with fellow guests in the pool bar area with Senka who was really efficient and helpful. All in all a nice hotel we wouldn’t worry about returning to.

Stayed her for the second time as we absolutely loved it the first time two years ago, it’s a lovely hotel , lovely room, nothing big but very clean, the beds are so nice and comfortable, we got clean sheets most days and towels as well, room was cleaned everyday , shower is on the small side but who cares. You have to pay tax , I think it was 5€ a night , am sure we paid 70€ for two weeks, you can have a safe for 10€ deposit, but we never took it, we left money on the dresser , passports and iPads in the draws and nothing was touched or went missing. Same as two years ago. The cleaning ladies are so nice , I think the whole hotel is one big family and we became part of that family during our stay . Some of the reviews moan about the breakfast, but if you see on their website, breakfast is free, so be happy you get what they cook that day, usually omelette , cut up, small sausages , baked beans and a pastry what was different every day, toast tea and lovely coffee, yogurt , honey , 2 different jams , 2 different cornflakes, Sundays is the best, fried egg and bacon, lovely on toast. I brought my own kettle but found out you can ask and they have po it’s never that busy when we have been there, this year we met the lovely Zoi, our life guard, she brilliant and so sweet, helpfull and so nice to talk to. The bar people Joanna and Zenka, lovely girls, such a laugh , and their cocktails are to die for , and then our lovely poppy, she made my day with her chicken souvlaki , chicken was soooo good, chips are lovely, the meatballs and nuggets are so nice, they serve it between 12-4, but if you are hungry they do serve pizza and sandwiches and the smaller items after 4pm, pizzas are nice and big and enough for two people to still the hunger Do This hotel is not really for people in the party mood, it’s quiet, thats why we went, peace and quiet, and the area where the hotel stand is so beautiful, the mountains , the sea, and the town is lovely, but no night club or anything like that, they have got some bars, they have loads of restaurants and the square is worth a visit after 6pm as families gather there and such a nice thing to see that kids can just play there and be safe . We took the boat from Lixouri to Argostoli,3.40€ each way, 20/30 minute trip,,so nice when it’s warm and the wind is there, lovely town and some nice restaurants All in all I would highly recommend this hotel

Lovely Hotel. Friendly staff, a great pool and pool bar. Food is good, very clean rooms. And spectacular views across the bay and town. Great hotel for couples. At the top of a slight hill. Free parking for hire cars. Looking forward to returning.

Located at the top of a small hill, overlooking Lixouri, Hotel Palatino has everything.. Great rooms (comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, a fridge and safe) great staff, great pool and most importantly, the best view in the world, looking out over Lixouri Bay. My wife and I have been lucky enough to view Sydney Opera House and many other stunning views from our bedroom window around the world, however, this tops the lot.. so relaxing sitting on the balcony looking out over the bay and mountains beyond.. The Palatino has everything.. Thank you all. Hugh and Clare

Fantastic gem of a place. If you expect 5 star don’t come. It’s comfortable and clean and the location is lovely, around 7 minutes to lixouri at a steady amble, slightly uphill on the return but not mountain goat uphill. Breakfast is poor but there is a pool bar and they serve lunch there too. The pool is nice. Lovely place. Air on in rooms and safe (10 euros deposit). Bear in mind that the pool bar shuts at the end of September, but there’s a fridge in the room so you can self serve.
