I'm going to be blunt. The place is 20 years overdue for an update, and 5-10 overdue for a complete overhaul. In order, I'll list the negatives and positive: TL;DR: Do not stay here. It's gross AsF. 4/6 of the staff I dealt with were either clueless or extremely rude. There's plenty of alternatives in the area. Trash. Dated decor. Stained shower curtains and bedding. Worst hotel breakfast I've had, may as well not offer it. Positive: -I've stayed longer, in worse places. -Front door doesn't work, it either does open or opens halfway and may or may not close on you depending on the phase of the moon and your astrological sign... Basically it's broken, and they tried to blame it on me, threatening to call my employer who had put me up here, because I manually opened it to get outside one day. I called b******t, and had 4 witnesses to back me up, otherwise they may have gotten away with it. -There's about 15 places to eat and/or shop for food within half a mile, so walking distance. -Coffee was surprisingly good and almost always ready in the lobby -Elevators -Has a pool Negatives: -Pool is closed -They run out of coffee creamer constantly -Hallways are dirty and occasionally have garbage about. -Breakfast was SORELY LACKING. I've stayed at a dozen different Comfort Inns over the years, in large part because they tend to have excellent breakfast, and this one sucked. Hard. Rubbery sausage, clearly fake eggs, dry biscuits, no gravy (the ONLY comfort inn I've been to that didn't have gravy, ever), stale bagels and bread. Although, good coffee. -Breakfast area is tiny and undersized for the size of the hotel. -Most of their hotel staff are gruff, grumpy, disheveled, and HIGHLY unprofessional. -Rooms had garbage in corners, stained shower curtains, chipped and busted toilet seats, dameged light fixtures, stained sheets, mold and/or mineral build up in showers, showers are also gross looking and I wore flip flops every time I showered as a result. -Housekeeping runs incredibly late and rooms aren't done until as late as 6 or 7 in the afternoon. -Half of the parking lot lights don't work, it's dark and sketchy out there at night. -My headboard on the bed, was literally STICKY, I repeat, my headboard was *sticky*. Ew... Gross... Reported it twice to the staff and it never got addressed. In two weeks... Summary: Don't stay here. They're a horrible establishment, and others I know had to switch rooms multiple times to get a decent enough one. Stay somewhere else, there are plenty of other options in the DFW region, and even close to Red Oak. For the record, I stayed here for 2 weeks, they had plenty of opportunities to improve, and failed repeatedly.

This may be the worst experience I've ever had staying at a hotel. The first night we were there, a cockroach ran across my daughter's pillow/nose and woke her up just as she was falling asleep. The following day I found one in the bathtub. I notified the front desk and they sprayed my room while I was out that day. I'm sure it's reasonably safe but I didn't love the idea of them treating the room I'm living in for cockroaches .The hot water was broken which they did eventually fix but not in time for me to actually get a hot shower. The TV remote turned on the television and adjusted the volume but I could not change the channel. The front desk advised me to try a couple of things but all we could watch was Sponge Bob Square Pants on Nick. The room in general was not clean. The carpet looked stained and dirty. The walls are so thin you can hear all your neighbors. I could hear them snore, their alarms, and one night my neighbors were so loud they woke me up at 2 am (despite the ”no parties” agreement we signed at check-in). After calling the front desk several times and getting no answer, I handled it myself. I didn't dare to try the breakfast after learning of the roaches. The complimentary toiletries were a random mixed of brands, not matching. While this is technically not a bad thing, it's just strange and typical of the quality of the stay/service. There was also an overpowering smell throughout the building (cleaner perhaps) that permeated all my things. The day they treated my room for bugs the front desk did bring us up some complimentary drinks and snacks, which was nice of her. I think she was just being a decent person, not indicative of the overall quality of management at this establishment.
