Felt it was tired. Only one on reception so had to wait.had to.plug kettle in on the floor as lead was too short. Staff were friendly but needs a renovation. Great location. However...we only paid £49 so bargain

Very nice old hotel Worth staying

It is only over one kilometer away from the 05 version of ”Pride and Prejudice”. Walking along the path, the scenery is excellent. The hotel is clean and tidy, and there is a country pub downstairs with Western food. It is much cheaper than the nearby Cavendish Hotel.

After not having been Hostelling for a while we decided to try it, a mix of self catering and main meals. We were delighted. We had an en-suite private room with a double bed. Being school holidays we enjoyed watching the families with such well behaved children who were also enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, while the provision in this large hostel of quiet lounges provided the contrast to the members’ kitchen which was well equipped and well used. We bought our main meals in the cafe from a short menu, but we could make a coffee whenever we wanted to. The whole week was very enjoyable.

I didn't book the old hall, but this one is really good. The cleanliness and comfort of the room is my most important. The decoration is red classical style. There is a wedding atmosphere under the floor.
