Hickory Grove Motor Inn - Cooperstown

Property is great! Room clean, amenities stocked, ample close parking, nice lake view. Internet is a little spotty, but you can walk up the hill a bit and be fine. We'll stay there again the next time we're in the area!

Very neat and clean room. I was disappointed that the coffee machine would not plug in. Am not sure why. The view from the room was beautiful. Very quiet and relaxing

We stayed at the Lake N Pines Motel. I couldn't say enough about the scenery! It's absolutely beautiful! The set up of the property is unique in a good way. The motel has separate sections which affords for some nice privacy. We had a second floor room with a private balcony overlooking the water. My favorite part was the gorgeous sunrise! The staff and people there are so friendly! I think I've found my favorite spot. A very nice place to relax.

Very peaceful. Loved waking up with the lake view. I wish the WiFi had a strong connection, but either than that the stay was peaceful and worth it!

My only complaint is the property is a little rural and set back from the main areas of Cooperstown. The result is horrible cell service but the WiFi is great so just connect your phone to that!

Bed was pushed against wall so it was hard to get in and of bed. Rug was dirty and stained

Comfortable Stay, But Some Drawbacks We stayed here during a trip to Cooperstown Dreams Park. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, but there were a few issues worth noting. The beds were very comfortable, and the views of the lake from our room were beautiful — definitely a highlight. However, the property feels a bit dated. My son, who has allergies, experienced worsening symptoms during our stay, possibly due to moisture or air quality issues in the room. The mini fridge didn’t keep things very cold, and the showers were extremely small, which made them uncomfortable to use. Housekeeping was just okay — not terrible, but not great either. Parking was frustrating, as some cars weren’t parked within the lines, making it difficult to get in and out. One of the biggest inconveniences was the 25-minute drive to Dreams Park. It made it tough to go back and forth between games, especially with the tight schedule. Not a bad place if you're looking for a scenic, peaceful setting, but there are definitely a few things that could be improved.

Peaceful and cute Super cute and peaceful location! I have never stayed in a motor Lodge before, and the convenience of having your car directly outside the room is insanely nice. I can see why it was such a popular design. The room was a bit dated, but very well kept, and the mattress older but not uncomfortable. The lodge has a small private beach a short walk down the hill, and you can borrow their kayaks for free!

Staff was friendly. Property was well maintained. The only issue was the size of the shower. It’s just as small as the reviews say. It was hard for my husband to fit in the shower and he’s only 5’11.
