Scandic Oslo City

Very noisy, don’t expect to sleep! We were given a quiet room and it was impossible to sleep even though we had earplugs. The street is noisy all night long and there are beggars playing music badly and singing. Closing the windows does not help.

Good location and very service mind of all staf

The hotel’s location is superb, right by the Oslo S train station and by the main shopping district and main sights. Hotel itself seems rather old. The bathroom especially felt like something out of the 1980s. It was small and water pressure was weak. Also there was no bath mat provided, nor any tissue paper, and no amenities like toothpaste toothbrush or shower cap. As we had paid for a larger room, our room was spacious. But it was noisy from people shouting in the street below even at late hours. Also the hotel did not turn on its central heating nor air conditioning. So the room felt stuffy and you would have to open a window. What saves the hotel is the excellent service. Staff were accommodating on requests we made, including for a takeaway breakfast box on our last day as we were taking an early train.

Excellent spots, very near to most of the tourist spots. The breakfast is superb!

Very central location next to the central railway station, restaurants and shopping malls. Clean rooms but quite small. Good breakfast

The location is good. Close to the walking Street. Can find convenience store near the hotel.
