Sotetsu Fresa Inn Osaka-Shinsaibashi

Came back for the 2nd leg of my Osaka trip and had another 4 excellent nights at the hotel. I requested to have the same room when checked out the day before and staff was able to meet my request 👍🏽

The hotel is conveniently located near many tourist attractions, making it easy to get around. One thing to note is that you need to pick up your own room amenities from the lobby instead of having them provided in the room. The carpet in my room did not feel very clean—it was sticky in some areas. The room was also not well soundproofed, so I could easily hear noise from outside. The most disappointing part of my stay was the service. I called to ask if it was possible to extend my late check-out beyond 2:00 PM by paying an additional fee. The female staff member responded in a very cold and unfriendly tone, saying that being allowed to stay until 2:00 PM was already "too much" I completely understand if a later check-out isn't available, but there are much more polite and professional ways to say no. I was asking to pay for the extra time, not requesting it for free. Unfortunately, the service attitude left a very negative impression.

Service was pretty much non existent but good range of amenities (facial masks, sunscreen etc) provided at the lobby. Location convenient for shopping
