Quaint lovely hotel. The staff was kind and helpful. The location was perfect, with a view of the Duomo from my room. It was everything you’d expect from the description. If I ever find myself in the wonderful town of Orvieto, I would definitely stay there again.

Great location right next to the Duomo and close to the tourist attractions as well as the main shopping. The staff are friendly and helpful. the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

We stayed at this hotel for two days. The cleanliness is excellent, every corner is taken care of. The staff is very professional, friendly and also answers every email with precise and helpful instructions. The hotel is located in the historic center of Orvieto, with an unbeatable view and a few steps from the Duomo of Orvieto, one of the most famous cathedrals with a long and rich history. Something very important, if you want to reach the Hotel Virgilio in Orvieto by car, please use Via Soliana, and thus you will avoid getting lost in the narrow and wonderful streets of this city, keep this in mind. Also, when Via Soliana ends in the historic center, just to the left is the public parking. I advise anyone visiting Orvieto to stay at the Hotel Virgilio. Orvieto and its Duomo are a must-see and the Hotel Virgilio gives you the possibility to stay in the middle of history.

Beautiful little hotel right next to the front of the cathedral! Very friendly, efficient, and helpful staff! Lovely marble stairs or an elevator if you prefer. Our room faced the cathedral and we loved the view. The piazza was very quiet once the cathedral closed. The room was charmingly decorated in fresh green and white with hand painted wardrobe and headboard. Very clean. Tall windows with shutters. We had a bathtub, which was most appreciated! Outside there are tables and chairs to sit and look at the cathedral. In the lobby there is also a little sitting area. Finally, the bus that meets the funicular takes passengers to the piazza of the cathedral (Duomo), so it is very easy to reach this hotel with luggage. We loved Orvieto! 💕

Piccolo eccellente hotel in posizione magnifica: aprendo la finestra ammirate la piazza e lo scorcio del meraviglioso Duomo di Orvieto. Personale gentile e disponibile. Colazione ricca dolce e salata che include anche confezioni senza glutine. Prezzi modici. Consigliatissimo!!!!

Siamo approdate all’hotel Virgilio in condizioni pietose come due clandestine senza bagagli, anzi tre se aggiungiamo la nostra cagnolina al seguito. Eravamo in viaggio verso casa da Roma ,quando la nostra macchina ci ha abbandonato sulla corsia d’emergenza in autostrada, in prossimità di Orvieto. Erano le dieci di sera e anche l’ultimo treno era stato soppresso, chiamo l’hotel Virgilio, gli racconto la nostra situazione e ci accolgono con grande umanità. I comfort, la posizione mozzafiato di fronte il Duomo, la gustosa colazione, la camera silenziosa ci hanno restituito una dignità e come due turiste per caso hanno saputo trasformare la nostra disavventura in un soggiorno a sorpresa davvero piacevole. Vivamente consigliato ci ritorneremo!!!

Anche questa volta la nostra scelta è stata azzeccata! Piccolo hotel in centro a Orvieto, nella splendida Piazza del Duomo. La posizione è veramente ottima: parcheggio a pochi metri e tutti punti di interesse raggiungibili in pochi minuti a piedi. Pulito, curato e assistito 24 su 24 dal personale molto professionale. Consigliatissimo.

Super Lage am schönen Dom. Zimmer war einfach und klein, Bad veraltet, aber sauber. Gezahlt wird bei Ankunft, dann gibts den Schlüssel. Liebloses, abgegrastes Frühstück mit kaum Auswahl im Keller. Preis-Leistung stimmt gar nicht. Alles nicht so schlimm, wäre die Hotelchefin nicht so besonders unfreundlich. Schön wars weiterzureisen!
