Hotel Ansitz Jakoberhof

We had a lovely Christmas at Jakoberhof (as several times before)). Lovely hotel and lovely hosts.

Sorry for writing this review 11 months after our visit! Last Christmas week (2024), we spent our fifth Christmas at this lovely hotel. And in just one month we will be there again for the six time! The location is in the sunny part of Ortisei which is important at Christmas time. The dinners are very good, the rooms spacious and nice and Markus and Andrea are always the best hosts!

A fantastic experience, this family run hotel definitely is worthy of its 4* rating. Located a little out of town, but with free bus pass for service to Ortisei’s center, the brother and sister owners are so nice and deliver wonderful service. The small, but useful spa in the basement has steam, sauna and a pool that provides excellent therapy after a long day of hiking. The breakfast buffet is sumptous and the evening meal varied between buffet style and 5-7 courses with choices - a bargain at €40 per person. If you do stay here, try to arrange a wine tasting with the brother/owner. There’s a lovely wine cellar tasting area and he has an extensive collection of local wines not seen outside the region. The rooms are large and comfortable with balcony views of the mountains.

Everything was great although abit on the pricey side. Loved the breakfast. A little tricky to get there cutting through the town but once you figure out, it’s ok.

Excellent location if you want to be out of town & in a quiet, tranquil setting. Food was excellent & staff very attentive.

A Home Away from Home in the Dolomites Our stay here was the highlight of our trip to the Dolomites, and we wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else. It truly felt like a home away from home. The breathtaking views from our room, paired with the magnificent breakfasts and dinners, made our experience unforgettable. After long days of hiking, returning to the hotel felt like finding a sanctuary. The pool provided the perfect space to unwind, and the sauna was a delightful bonus. These cherished memories will stay in our hearts forever.
