Hotel San Rocco

Lovely hotel, easy to find, staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Hotel has parking and is central to everything you need restaurants shops bars and boat trips etc. Peaceful at night and breakfast was plentiful. Highly recommended

Nice hotel we visited in augustus 2023. We booked a room with lakeview. The room we were given was a room looking at a tree. After one night we could change this for a room with lakeview. Unfortunately at this room the airco did not work and the staff were unable to fix this. They said it happend all the time. Luckily they gave us a fan to cool the room. Overall it is a beautiful hotel, but the maintenance could be better. On the outside there is a lot of ****s. Also the swimming pool is old and needs a makeover. Breakfast is very good with lots of fresh fruit.

My wife and I stayed here from 10-23 July 2023. It was a bit of a gamble for us as we normally head for the southern coast of Italy or France. The gamble certainly paid off. Firstly the location is perfect. Lake Orta is a quiet unspoiled spot for a relaxing holiday and fine food & wine. Yes, on occasion, the weather was a bit changeable but you are in the mountains. Anyway, the Hotel San Rocco really made the stay for us. We had a fantastic room in the old villa part of the hotel and the pool is right on Lake Orta. The breakfast we pretty standard and lunch from the restaurant was really good. However, the highlight for me was the friendliness of the reception staff who were all fantastic - Papi, Erica, Andrea, Alessio and Giulia did everything possible to make our stay memorable and for that I cannot thank them enough. We really needed this holiday to be one of relaxation and no stress after a tough year and they really made sure that's what we got. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Not only the hotel but it's location in Orta itself. If you want a relaxing break with enough variety of great places to eat and the most beautiful scenery then the Hotel San Rocco, Lake Orta is the place for you. Final point, we enjoyed a lunchtime tasting menu by local chefs based on rice. What a treat! Thank you for a fantastic holiday. Enjoy the photos of Orta and the hotel/food.

This hotel in Italy has the most lovely position on the banks of Lake Orta a lovely view over the lake . The pool wasn’t necessary because the lake is so clean and just such a pleasure to swim in. Breakfast was so nice with a great spread of food.

The hotel overall is an amazing property with outstanding views. A very nice front desk guy Cande "Papi" helped me a lot and was very diligent to try to give an excellent service. I had an upgrade do that the AC wasn't working in the room I was assigned to. Breakfast was very good and the Capuchinos were amazing. Bathroom ok, but dirty dirty shower.

Fabulous location in the town centre! The hotel is in a beautiful property on the water with a nice pool and overall great atmosphere. Rooms were too small though versus the price and cleanliness standards could’ve been much better.

I have previously stayed in this hotel and know it to be a fantastic place. However this review concerns a day trip and I needed some assistance as my wife was poorly. The team on reception offered help without hesitation. This is fantastic customer service and shows what a great team they have. Thank you

The hotel was most accommodating. We booked via *********** (not recommended). We had to change dates because of a death. The hotel was most gracious in changing our dates. The reception staff are more than helpful, the room clean and spacious. I have no complaints. I’m quite content with their human touch.

great hotel for a break, nice lake, but will be nice to have a better access to the lake, you need to climb the rocks to come back, a small stairway would be great
