We visited for a drink and potentially some food to no avail while in the area. It is a very busy place with a high turn over. Toilets are not free (even if your eating and drinking). However, when we arrived, nobody was manning this area / station, so it was being freely used. Parking can be extremely difficult (Jan24) and we actually left and returned, as their is no other choice around the area. The views are great of the mountain / volcano. There are also a number of walking trails within this area that are documented on map information boards. During our visit, there was a rather long queue for drinks and no tables to sit at, which again, is understandable as there are no options for this area. If you can take into consideration the long queues, difficulty in parking, paid toilet access and limited seating (Although there was much seating, when we visited, there were far too many people, so seating not possible). When we visited, some people used the coach bay to double and in some cases triple park and when coaches arrive, they simply sound there horn for extended periods of time, so you will also have this to listen to if you can get a table when visiting down.

Lovely setting and had a very nice dinner in the restaurant and were able to do some independent star gazing. Bedrooms and reception of hotel very basic and overall quite expensive to spend a night 300:euros, compared to 5* city break hotels, but they are in a unique location and the only hotel so I guess that’s also what you are paying for.

If you want to stay within the Teide national park this is the only Accommodation but in our view it was definitely worth the money the views are great having breakfast and dinner looking up at mount Teide. We were blessed with clear skies at night and the stars are amazing

We had booked to have lunch there and arrived on time but no one was in the dining room to welcome or seat us. We eventually seated ourselves and chose the Canadian lunch. We were served a very large plate of chorizo, various fatty bits of “casserole “ , half a cabbage, squash, potato and carrot which arrived at the table completely cold /lukewarm though the plates were warm. As we were the only diners it was not a case of the kitchen being overwhelmed. It was eventually heated up but still proved a gastronomical challenge. Without question, this was the worst meal we have ever experienced. We have always loved Paradors and were extremely disappointed.

We had dreamed of staying here to feel the remoteness of the crater by night. At last we succeeded in booking a superior double. The welcome was friendly and we could book a table for dinner without having chosen half board. It turned out later that half board gives a fixed rate for the same menu, but about half the dishes come with a surcharge. You can easily get a great meal with fresh produce without the surcharged dishes. Our room had a fantastic direct view of El Teide, dark wood furniture, bathroom with a bath and double sink and complimentary lip salve as well as other items. The hotel has a policy on reducing the use of single use plastics although it still has room for further steps here. We took a quick hike around the rocks for a magnificent sunset, but beware that the last 200m is a scramble steeply uphill, and the path is not clear, so hard to navigate in the dusk. Allow 1,5 hours for the circuit if possible. Dinner was delicious and beautifully presented, large portions and a tireless waiter who dashed around bringing our dishes very promptly. The bed was very comfortable with different pillows. Before we turned in, we popped outside to do a bit of stargazing and enjoy the silence but had to walk a bit away from the hotel as guided tours offered the same experience and the lights from the hotel and cars made it harder to see. Better to take a lamp, walk a bit away, then turn it off for viewing. Breakfast was extensive and offered a number of cold cuts, cheese, fruit, yoghurt etc and each guest had their own tongs for serving themselves, which must go a long way towards good buffet hygiene. As well you can order hot dishes but they took some time to come. A professional cycle team was staying in the hotel at the same time and we could enjoy our breakfast alongside of them - considerate guests. All in all a lovely stay and perfectly situated to enjoy the park without too many other people.

The hotel is in a fantastic location and very much one of a kind. Rooms were nice, clean and spacious. HOWEVER the restaurant did not live up to any sort of expectations, food was of a poor quality and dull. It was really difficult to get service at the bar even as a resident. The cafe is used by almost every visitor to Teide and it took us 40 minutes to get 2 coffees and a terrible Tuna sandwich (take your own food) plus they charge you €1 to use toilet. In summary stay in hotel but somehow don't eat. Lol

Everything much nicer than it looks in the pictures. Room excellent and well equipped. Stunning view of El Tiede. Supper very enjoyable. However, small point, if you drink Breakfast tea, bring your own!

Overnight stay at Parador, wonderful room and view from balcony. Dinner and breakfast in restaurant were exceptionally good. Overall excellent value for money, only regret was we hadn't stayed for longer.
