The hotel is at the edge of the down town walking area and two minutes walk to a big supermarket and two minutes the other way to the railway station. It was cold and wet when I stayed there, but the town was nicely decorated for Christmas. The room is a good size and very well constructed. The only odd thing is that I never found out how to turn off the bathroom lights. In fact on entering the room, it takes some time how to turn on any lights! The shower is comfortable, but I think the decision not to install a shower door might come back to haunt the hotel in the years to come as the bathroom floor will suffer with the stains. There is a small desk of adequate size, and the Wi-Fi was fast and free. Breakfast is included and is great. On leaving at 04:45, the staff offered to make me a coffee to go. I arrived from Hamburg by plane into Strasbourg. However, I should have taken the train, so I suggest anyone review that option. I flew out of Strasbourg which was €55 by taxi.

I stayed in this hotel for several days because of some things. The cherry blossom trees at the entrance were beautiful, and the breakfast remained the same. The town is really quiet. There is a launderette about 3 kilometers away.

We stayed in the Mercure Hotel Offenburg for two nights and we had a pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and spacious, the hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered a great variety. Very good location. We recommend this hotel.

We spent two nights here. The room was super clean at our arrival and completely sufficient for our short stay of the size. The bathroom was a little small but with enough space. Unfortunately, there was no refrigerator, but a air conditioning that was very pleasant at the hot temperatures at the time! We had booked without breakfast, but at the reception there is a machine with cold drinks and coffee, but this was unspisable.... However, if you are not here just on a holiday or Sunday, the cafe in Obi is very recommended directly to the front of a breakfast or the bakery Brassister is a block away (this is also open on holidays or Sundays). You can stop your car at the hotel for €5 per day in the parking house. Otherwise everything keeps somewhat anonymous and you can't expect any joy jumps from the staff... But please again...

MINUS: the less soundproof hotel i`ve ever stayed at. the walls between the rooms let you hear every cough. and trust me: i tried more than one room, since a truck began unloading around 5am. the loading dock of a mall is literally in the hotel`s back yard. so i asked for another room and got one with no further ado. friendly staff. still: the walls must be made of cardboard. PLUS: super central, close to station, shops, restaurants. nice design outfit, integrated vintage parts

Shop, supermarket 500 m, restaurant 50 m, bakery 400 m, railway station "Offenburg" 500 m, park "Bürgerpark" 1 km, outdoor swimming pool 1 km, indoor swimming pool 1 km, public bathing area 3 km, bathing lake "Gifiz" 3 km. Minigolf 1 km. Nearby attractions: Europa Park Rust 35 km, Straßburg 23 km, Baden-Baden 50 km, Durbach 7 km, Gengenbach 10 km, Freiburg 66 km. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Gifizsee 3 km, Mummelsee 39 km. Hiking paths: Ortenau 1 km, Hornisgrinde 38 km. 2-room apartment 58 m2 on 1st floor. Bright, comfortable and tasteful furnishings: living/dining room with 1 double sofabed and satellite TV (flat screen), air conditioning and electric shutters. Exit to the balcony. 1 double bedroom with air conditioning and electric shutters. Kitchenette (oven, dishwasher, 4 ceramic glass hob hotplates, microwave, electric coffee machine). Shower/WC. Underfloor heating. Balcony 22 m2. Balcony furniture, deck chairs (2), box-room. Facilities: washing machine, iron, hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only. Smoke alarm.

Nous avons réservé cet hôtel pour la nuit entre une journée à Rulantica et à Europa Park. 25mn de route (qui permettent de tester les capacités de votre voiture sur l’AutoBahn) et vous arrivez dans un village assez isolé. La réceptionniste parle Anglais, par contre le reste du personnel ne parle que allemand et ne fait aucun effort pour vous comprendre. Nous n’avons pas mangé à l’hôtel, impossible de comprendre la carte… Chambre famille très spacieuse, mais juste au dessus de la terrasse du restaurant, heureusement les allemands mangent tôt ! Salle de bain spacieuse également, et de nombreuses serviettes à disposition. Literie agréable, et le site est finalement très calme. Petit déjeuner extra, petit bémol si vous venez avec des enfants, il n’y a pas de chocolat chaud ( ou la dame de service n’a pas voulu comprendre ce que l’on demandait). Thermos de café sur la table, et le reste est en mode buffet. Très bon fromage et bonne charcuterie ! Rapport qualité prix intéressant pour une nuit « à proximité » d’Europa Park.
