Stayed in a double bed, 2 bunk family cabin. Cleaners equipment, mops, buckets, brooms were in the wardrobe. They expect us to hang out clean clothes in there. Only a microwave and electric frypan for cooking, no stove or cooktop, lucky we had barbecue to boil water for veggies and percolated coffee. Place was poorly cleaned, lot of dust everywhere from dirt track in front of cabin. Couldn’t sit on provided outdoor setting as old, rusty and covered in dust. No exhaust fan in bathroom, no where to put soap in shower recess, garden beds were just empty sand pits, no internet available, lawns were dry and dead, screen door didn’t close, outside covered in cobwebs, kitchen lacked the basics like even a salad bowl, one small serated knife, no bottle opener or cork screw, no wine glasses let alone champagne glasses. Main complaint is total lack of maintenance and cleanliness. The new toaster was the only good thing about this place inside. The nearby coastal walking trail was a positive, the Boston Bay Winery close by was fantastic. Beach here was not a swimming beach as full of rocks and seaweed. Point Boston beach 20 minutes up the road was brilliant. Paid $120 a night which is a lot for what we got, we have stayed in lots of cabins across South Australia so can compare, this was poor, would never stay here again. Feels like they take advantage of being the only caravan and cabin place in what is touted as the seafood capital of Australia. They need to invest back into this place to modernize and get up to scratch.
