The hospitality and guidance provided by the inn's staff were truly delightful. The hot spring was cozy and being a direct source, it was incredibly relaxing. Dinner was served in our room and was very luxurious.

The location is quite convenient; we had ample parking space since we drove. It's also just an 8 to 10-minute walk to the Onsen Street, Noboribetsu Hell Valley, and Oyunumagawa Natural Footbath. The dinner at the onsen ryokan was incredibly generous, and both the beef and sashimi were exceptionally fresh and delicious. Breakfast also felt very ceremonial, though personally, I found it a bit too salty. We checked in on our first night after landing, and after a good soak in the onsen, I slept exceptionally well. I'd especially like to commend the waiter; he was so attentive and welcoming. There were a few minor issues with the room facilities when we first checked in, but they were all resolved in the end.

I was given a larger room, number 301, which was very clean and comfortable, and the bed was excellent. The staff were super friendly, and the hot springs were pretty good, with a slight sulfur scent. However, some rooms might have faint sounds of running water or insects, so light sleepers should be aware. The male and female hot springs are cleaned and swapped between 9:00 PM and 9:30 PM. It's about a 7-8 minute walk to the hot spring street, about 10 minutes to 7-11, and approximately 3 minutes to the bus stop.

This is a lovely place with a nice blend of Japanese aesthetics and Western furnishings. While the public bath isn't impeccably maintained, it's still perfectly usable. It feels more suited for a longer stay of several days rather than just one night, allowing you to truly soak in the traditional Japanese ambiance. Although it's a bit far from the train station, it's very close to the tourist attractions.

The bus stop is nearby, so if you plan your route well, the distance won't be an issue. Compared to other accommodations, the open-air bath here is quite small. It's also quite old, so if the open-air bath is your main priority, I'd recommend reconsidering. However, if you're just looking for an affordable stay, it's a good option.

Bad review, bad review. The room was old and the sound of the stream kept me awake. They charged me an extra 3,000 JPY just for checking out a little late. I won't go back, avoid this place. It's famous for its hot springs, but the pools are pitifully small. Not recommended.
