"The location of IntercityHotel Nizwa is great, situated just off the highway leading into the Nizwa city area. It is located right beside a large mall on one side and a Lulu Hypermarket on the other. The hypermarket features a McDonald's, which was the only fast food outlet open for drive-through at 11am during Ramadan. Parking is plentiful in front of the hotel. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and we were granted a late check-out upon request. The room is standard but adequate, with no noise issues. Both the shower pressure and water temperature were satisfactory. The air conditioning also worked well. The room that we stayed in has an interesting map of the Nizwa region on the wall behind the bed, which was a nice detail. Bottled water is provided and topped up promptly upon request. This hotel is a good choice for an overnight stay in Nizwa."

"Old style accommodation, but comfortable and clean. Plenty of toiletries but no rack in shower for soap. Sleep comfort was good although pillows were small and hard. Food was ok and there is a self serve coffee machine in the dining room. Room has a heater switch for the hot water system which we turned off by mistake during an initial flurry of checking light switches. Unlicenced venue but do not despair it is a comfortable 1km walk to Falaj Daris Hotel for alcohol relief. "

"Our stay at Shorfet Al Alamin Hotel was a mixed experience with both positives and a few major concerns. The most disappointing part was finding a scorpion inside the room the next morning, which was quite disturbing. Also, one of the beds in our room was broken, and I had to be shifted to another room during the stay. However, the staff handled everything very well — the service team was prompt, polite, and genuinely apologetic about the inconvenience caused. The food was definitely one of the highlights, with both breakfast and dinner being very good, and compliments to the chef for the excellent preparation. A nice gesture from the team was arranging takeaway breakfast for us on one of the days since we had an early hiking plan. Another convenient aspect was that the car could be parked right outside the room, which made access very easy throughout the stay."

"Sadly most disappointing. Our VIP room clad like a sauna was not special other than the high price. It was small overlooked the parking lacked privacy and had dangerous electrical fittings. The chairs were cheap and wobbled. Nice shower. The garden is unkempt with no comfy seats. The dining area overlooks the parking and is outside. No where inside if it rained. The breakfast was the least appetising we have had. In comparison to other Omani hotels the welcome was poor. The one redeeming feature is its location."
