Ningbo Marriott Hotel

Had a fantastic stay in Ningbo, primarily for the seafood! The Marriott was super comfortable, thanks for the hospitality. I really appreciated the spacious bed; other hotels don't usually have such large ones (this one was 1.4m wide), which made for a great night's sleep. They even gave us complimentary breakfast, which was a lovely touch 🫶🏻. The location was also incredibly convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.

The front desk staff were all very nice and polite. The cleaning lady even left a note with some local Ningbo specialties and new products. Although I gave a 5-star rating, I still have to vent about something. After checking in and getting into the elevator, I encountered someone I didn't recognize. The service staff insisted on taking them directly to the 39th floor. I was staying on the 27th floor. The service staff then opened the elevator's control panel, claiming the elevator was broken and could only go to the 39th floor. After dropping off whatever they had there, the staff reset the elevator and then took me to the 27th floor. If it was a special guest, the staff could have simply informed me when I got into the elevator, instead of treating guests like **. Honestly, I have no idea what kind of woman he was delivering something to. It was really bizarre.

I gave it five stars, not because they upgraded my room, but because it's the first hotel recently that proactively addressed my need for fast internet for work. The overall environment is also quite good.

Eva from the concierge team was incredibly enthusiastic and even reached out to me on WeChat beforehand. This hotel is perfect for families with kids looking to relax. The executive lounge offers afternoon tea, a light dinner, and various soft drinks, cocktails, and beers in the evening – great for enjoying the view and unwinding. We arrived quite early, and they upgraded our room to a top-floor suite. Although the upgraded room faced the river, the parapet wall on the top floor obstructed the view, so we couldn't see the full river panorama. The front desk suggested we go to the executive lounge for the view, and indeed, the lounge offered a fantastic vista. The breakfast selection was also quite extensive. The buffet dinner for hotel guests was offered at a discounted rate.

The hotel's location is super convenient, close to all the main attractions. Our room was spotless, the bedding was clean, and all the basic amenities were there. The river view from Sanjiangkou at night was absolutely beautiful. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful. What really stood out was the cheerful young woman at the entrance to the breakfast restaurant – her smile was so sweet! And the young man who helped us move our luggage when we switched rooms was very observant and proactive. Check-in and check-out were both efficient. The soundproofing was decent; we weren't significantly disturbed during the night. Overall, the experience met our expectations and offered good value for money. It's suitable for a short business trip or a family vacation. The shower pressure was amazing – so refreshing! We later switched to a connecting room, which was perfect for traveling with elders and children. We'd definitely consider staying here again on our next visit.

The breakfast spread is abundant and exquisite, a real treat for the taste buds. The staff are attentive, warm, and thoughtful, making the entire experience excellent. It's definitely a top choice for a comfortable stay when visiting Ningbo.

The hotel is located in the prime Heyi Avenue area, right next to Sanjiangkou and Zhongshan Square. It's only a 10-minute walk to Tianyi Square and Drum Tower, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, making it super convenient for getting around. During check-in, John proactively offered to help me with my luggage. Upon learning I was on a business trip, he immediately arranged a high-floor river view room for me and thoughtfully explained the room's facilities and introduced me to Ningbo's local attractions. He anticipated my needs, not only preparing fresh fruit and Ningbo's special local snacks in my room but also placing two books about Ningbo culture, allowing me to appreciate the city's heritage even during my busy schedule. The room was spacious and bright, with a design that blended Jiangnan poetic charm with modern luxury. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered panoramic views of the Yaojiang River. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the mattress had just the right firmness. The work area in the room was spacious, with high-speed internet and ample power outlets to meet business needs. The mini-bar was well-stocked, and the refrigerator kept things perfectly chilled. Breakfast was served at the 1st-floor cafe, offering a rich and diverse selection. The local specialty, Ningbo Tangyuan (sweet glutinous rice balls), were soft, sweet, and delicious. There were also various fresh juices available, including watermelon, orange, and cucumber. The staff were quick to seat guests, proactive in refilling coffee, and efficient at clearing tables, making for an excellent dining experience overall. Public areas were elegantly designed, with a stylish and grand art installation in the center of the lobby. The executive lounge offered a quiet and comfortable environment. Happy Hour provided both Chinese and Western hot dishes, cold salads, and a variety of beverages, making it a perfect spot for business discussions. A special thanks to John for his attentive service throughout my stay. There's also a robot delivery service, adding a touch of technology and convenience for business travelers. Finally, for those visiting Ningbo, if you book a suite, the executive benefits are extensive, including laundry service, afternoon tea, and Happy Hour. You absolutely must choose Ningbo Marriott Hotel. While all hotels are focusing on hardware facilities, it's the personalized, thoughtful service that truly stands out.
