Xiandai Holiday Hotel

The hotel is perfectly situated right next to Xuedou Temple, just a few hundred meters' walk away. The air quality and overall environment are excellent, making it a wonderful spot to catch the sunrise in the morning. The surrounding area is incredibly peaceful, and it's very convenient for guests traveling by car.

The hotel is conveniently located just 300 meters from Xuedou Temple, making it very easy to get around. It boasts a beautiful environment, and the rooms feature modern amenities. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows are a particular highlight, offering stunning mountain views and an excellent spot to watch the sunrise.

The hotel boasts a beautiful setting, nestled halfway up the mountain, with really nice views from the courtyard. We checked in on Friday, and it was completely deserted, with only one young lady at the front desk. Later that evening, I saw a family of four at the pool, but after they left, the place felt quite eerie. I even hesitated to go retrieve my laundry by myself late at night. It wasn't until the morning, when I saw some staff members bustling about, that I finally felt at ease. While I appreciate peace and quiet, the sheer emptiness made me feel a bit unsettled, haha. Perhaps due to the low occupancy on our check-in day, dinner had to be reserved several hours in advance. Breakfast was a simple, rustic farmhouse-style meal, but we were quite satisfied with it. Facilities: Good Cleanliness: Spotless Ambiance: Excellent, very peaceful Service: There was only one young lady at the front desk, and her service attitude needs improvement. She seemed untrained, and her way of speaking to guests was quite off-putting. This was the only significant flaw.

The hotel is conveniently located right at the entrance of the Xuedou Mountain Scenic Area. It boasts an elegant setting with fountains, a fish pond, and swings. Perched on high ground, it offers stunning panoramic views of the mountains below. The lady at the front desk was also incredibly thoughtful and attentive – highly recommended!

This is my second visit. Even with the rain, the scenery around the hotel was even more beautiful, making for a wonderfully relaxing two-day stay. Xuedou Mountain and Maitreya Plaza are both just a five-minute walk away. Even if you don't feel like hiking, a stroll in the small park at the Qianzhangyan entrance is quite pleasant.

The hotel is located right by Xuedou Temple and a transfer station. It can be a bit tricky to spot if you're driving, but taking the shuttle bus up is very convenient. Perched halfway up the mountain, it offers a fantastic spot for watching the sunrise. Being able to head straight back to your room for more sleep after catching the sunrise really makes it great value for money. The chef's cooking was excellent. On our first night, only set menus were available, but on the second day, we could order à la carte. Since the road descending the mountain is quite winding, we ended up having both our dinners at the hotel. The swimming pool was a definite highlight, as were the koi in the pond.

The location is excellent, right opposite Xuedou Mountain's main bus transfer station when you come up the mountain. It can be a bit easy to miss. The staff, however, are very warm and friendly, and the entire hotel is spotless. As it's situated on the mountain, food delivery services are almost non-existent, so remember to bring some instant noodles with you!

Putting everything else aside, the breakfast was terrible and utterly not worth the price. The entire buffet counter was as small as shown in my photo, only about four or five meters long. Furthermore, the pool was completely unsupervised, with no lifeguard on duty.

As a long-time Ctrip member, this was my first time staying at the Ningbo Modern Resort Hotel. I found both the hotel's location and its environment to be excellent. The overall atmosphere is quite peaceful, making it perfect for a pure, relaxing getaway. Additionally, Xuedou Mountain Scenic Area is conveniently located not far from the hotel, offering a great option for sightseeing.
