We were a group of 4 and got 2 very different rooms. One was fantastic (in the “new wing”) and the other one (in the “old wing”) was very clean but the furniture, carpet and bathroom could use a refresh. There were a lot of stains and the heater was not working.
Communication with staff partly difficult because of lack of German and English. The staff was however very friendly and helpful.
Parking on premises was perfect and the beer garden outside very charming.
We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel and food was excellent! Only issue was for dinner, we waited 2 hours for our food, which is way too long. Refilling at breakfast was also very slow. We were happy to be at breakfast early (7:30) because after it was being refilled only bit by bit and people had to wait.
Environment was extremely quiet and peaceful, overall we slept very well :-)

Our room was big and clean, with large comfortable beds and a separate bathroom, with a private shower and toilet. Free Wi-Fi was available in the main buildings and the rooms. Breakfast was extensive and good. However, the reception at the hotel was very impersonal and uninterested. You should definitely avoid the restaurant! It was horrible! The worst service we have ever experienced. We had to wait over an hour and a half for our main course. After an hour we even had to pass on our order again. Maybe it was because the Wi-Fi on the terrace where we were sitting was not working properly. When checking out the next morning, both orders were on the bill and the waiter couldn't remember anything! We had to put in quite a bit of effort to convince the owner that neither of us had eaten two main courses and side dishes. Unbelievable! No apologies, nothing at all. No attempt to make it right. Our first visit and certainly our last visit.

The dining options were very typically German cuisine, as our youngest daughter did not like anything on the menu we decided to eat elsewhere
