GGuest UserFabulous setting up on a hill about a 20 min walk down to the town(definitely get a rickshaw back). Didn’t realise we could order eggs for breakfast until our second morning (not offered them on the first morning). Cake at breakfast was yummy.
Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned on arrival and there were splatters marks on the wall above the tea/coffee area. We also returned to our room late afternoon to find maintenance working on our balcony - did feel this could have been done after checkout!
Fabulous shower.
We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was very good. The high taxes in Tamil Nadu added to the price (almost 25%) so bear this in mind . Cocktails weee excellent.
We did the morning ’hike’ which was well worth getting up for.
We were brought a hot water bottle on our second night which was a lovely surprise.
Tea & biscuits served between 5 & 5.30pm which was a nice touch although more of the breakfast cake would have been good.
Would recommend staying here as rooms, location & restaurant are excellent.

GGuest UserGood- The hospitality and standards of taj were very well maintained. The garden area is beautiful. Breakfast was great!! Not so good - the 2 bedroom suite had just one bathroom and the suits are in the middle of reception. No privacy in that sense. The individual rooms are much better

CCosmikSaturnNZWe were a bunch of 4 lads. Stayed in the Quadruple room. Pretty clean. The room service guys were polite and helpful... No intercom nor any chairs to sit inside. But we setup a place right outside the room. You have to phone the front desk for everything. Good parking and open spaces to play. Good was ok. Not bad. The receptionist guy was a bit grumpy. Apart from that nice chill place .!!

GGuest UserReally worth for the money.. Staffs are more friendly. Food can order. Taste was very nice. Water heater, hair dryer, bed sheet TV are all so good. All amenities were great. Staff allowed me to keep my luggage until 3 pm even I had checkout at 11 o clcok also allowed me to refresh. I strongly recommend for all.

GGuest UserOrchid Square has given us lovely memories of Coonoor. It was comfortable, clean and the food was excellent. However it was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff that really helped to make our experience here a very good one. The restaurant staff in particular showed good humour. The hotel helped with transport. The wifi connection was good. It was peaceful and our room was spacious with lots of extras like tea/coffee, shampoo/ hairdryer. The only downside was the distance into town, needing a tut-tut, about 10-15mins travel time. However, we had peace and quiet.
