The quiet atmosphere and soothing scenery nestled in nature made for a very pleasant stay. Breakfast and dinner were also excellent! The staff were all very kind, making for a very comfortable stay.

The facilities are a bit older than they appear in the photos. However, the lake and walking trails right in front make this a truly wonderful resort. If you're traveling by rental car, this is a highly recommended option in Nikko.

The hotel is located by the lake, the scenery is very beautiful, very good! The room is large, clean and the bedding is comfortable; the breakfast and dinner are average, with few food choices. 

I have been to Japan many times, but this is the first time I know that this resort village is also a chain of hot spring hotels. Although the room is not too big, the restaurant is surprisingly good, with a wide variety of buffet items. It was also the 30th anniversary of the hotel, and we could pack dinner and snacks to take back to our room. The service is also very good. In addition to the hotel bus, there are videos playing in the lobby at night to explain the astrology. It is very cost-effective and the stay is good.

It was nice to be able to eat in a nice room rather than a buffet. It was nice that there was a mini buffet in addition to the Japanese food. It was also nice to be able to have cake and coffee brought to the room after dinner. There seems to be a buffet course on the first floor. The cafe has an all-you-can-drink menu and is delicious. There seem to be additional rooms, so there are rooms where you go up in an elevator, walk down a corridor, and go up and down stairs. Elderly people should be careful when applying. The open-air bath had good water, but it was disappointing that there were only two ceramic single-person baths in a garden-style yard and not a large open-air bath.
