It was a convenient and easy to understand place just across the road station and footbath. The cleaning was well done and I was able to spend it comfortably. The food was delicious. Especially the breakfast buffet was good. I think it is a good hotel in Cospa. It was good that the large communal bath was large, but I wish it was a hot spring of a more habitual type because the hot spring was tasteless and odorless.

I stayed at JAL Niigata because I saw the Hideaki Amano exhibition. On Bandai Island, where the longest river in Honshu Island flows into the sea, the exterior design of the hotel is like a yacht docked by the Shinano River, blending with the ocean island into a picture. In the highest place in the city, in the guest room or on the top floor of the Sky Banguet, have a glass of Niigata local wine Kirin Mountain, and enjoy the 360-degree view of the fireworks on both sides of the Shinano River and the magnificence of the North Japan Sea.

The hotel lobby is on the third floor, and the accommodation is on the 25th floor. Don’t forget to go to the wrong place when checking in. You live on the sea side. You can see the sea every morning when you get up early. The hotel breakfast is all Western-style, including curry and rice. Yes, I’m not used to eating anything else. There is no soy milk, and the milk and orange juice are all iced. The hotel’s toothbrushes are super hard and my teeth hurt when I brush them. The room is relatively small, but it’s enough for one person. You can also take a bath. Two bottles are provided every day. pure water.

My family and travelled to Niigata at the end of April 2023 and had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Okura Niigata. Prior to the trip, I had reached out to them via email to inquire about coordinating a van + driver for us (6 of us) so that we could go visit some sake breweries and to make dinner reservations for us at a nearby restaurant. The concierge team was amazing and booked a large van (jumbo taxi) and driver for the day. they also ensured that the van could accommodate a folding wheelchair for one group member that needed it. The van and driver arrived on time and was quite reasonably priced. Great experience that was made possible by the hotel team! Upon return to the hotel, we realized we had left some items on the van - the hotel called the taxi company and coordinated the return of our items. Beyond these experiences, the hotel itself is a bit older but rooms are comfortable and fairly spacious for a hotel room in Japan. Location is great and the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we had on this trip. If I should ever travel back to Niigata, I will most definitely be staying here. The hotel and team won my business by going above and beyond...even for Japan standards of customer service! Domo arigatogozaima****a!!!

On the first Friday of September, after visiting Yahiko Shrine, I stayed with my wife for one night. The appearance is a seasoned thing that smells of the Showa era. At the same time as arrival, the guidance staff appeared from the entrance. I was invited by the staff to check in at the front desk. The interior has been beautifully renovated. After listening to the explanation of meals, etc., I went to the guest room on the 3rd floor. The room, which is thought to have been originally a Japanese-style room, is a twin bed room with wooden flooring. It is a style where you take off your shoes at the entrance and spend your time barefoot. It looks like it has been refurbished, but it is the cheapest room among the twin rooms, so the texture is reasonable. The special thing is the hot springs. Both the indoor and outdoor baths have a faint sulfur scent and are so soft that you will want to stay in them forever. There is no water bath, but there is a compact sauna, and since it was a weekday, I was able to use it almost to myself. This sauna can also be used during the morning bath, so after working up a sweat, lying down on the bench next to the open-air bath and looking up at the clear morning sky, I felt that my body and mind were cleansed. For dinner, a course meal is served at the restaurant on the 2nd floor, and for breakfast, a buffet is served at the lobby lounge on the 1st floor. I was satisfied with both quality and quantity, and it was very delicious because it was devised to incorporate local ingredients and local cuisine. As expected, there is only rice, and the deliciousness of white rice is exceptional. There was a little trouble at dinner, but when I checked out the next morning, the proprietress gave me a polite apology, and I felt once again that the staff was well taken care of. It was a hot spring town in a mountain village with nothing around, so I was able to enjoy the way I was supposed to spend my time at the inn. Thank you very much for your help.

There were several hotels nearby, but there was a continuous night and I made this hotel. Breakfast was also served at the hotel restaurant, but it was very satisfying with the meal with the color 々 Niigata dishes instead of Viking. Moreover, the rice is adopted by Shinnosuke! I was surprised but I replaced it with really delicious rice. (I'm free to replace it) I would like to use the hospitality of the staff again.
