Sorry Maria, that's not appropriate. The owner Maria welcomed us very nicely and gave us good information about Nicosia and her district. The apartment was very clean and all the staff were very friendly. But that was the end of the good news. The apartment is more like an apartment museum. Some of the furniture is incredibly worn and there is a significant backlog of furnishings. Lamps didn't work or only partially worked, you had to hold the wardrobe doors in your hand because they were coming off the hinges. The wardrobes had an unpleasant smell, so we didn't put our clothes away or hang them in there for the 3 nights. The worst part, however, were the mattresses in the beds. There were mattresses that were so worn out that you had to do a few orthopedic exercises in the morning to avoid suffering from pain. After three nights, however, we couldn't avoid back pain. My wife slept on the couch in the living room because it was firmer. In the other room with the single beds, the springs were immediately noticeable. Sleeping on a grill is hardly any different. Every day after showering, a small lake formed around the toilet. Something was leaking. All in all, the apartment was poorly maintained. It's no fun living here. I would NEVER come back. The walk to the old town wall is 20 minutes on foot. Sorry Maria, but it can't be done at night!
