Hotel Florence Nice

The hotel's location is excellent, right on a bustling main street, yet surprisingly quiet in the rooms. The rooms are clean and tidy, with windows for ventilation and central air conditioning. The breakfast room offers complimentary hot drinks, and you can store your luggage for free. All the receptionists speak English and are very friendly and attentive. I'm very satisfied.

The rooms are very small, with no space to hang clothes, unpack suitcases, or set up an ironing board. But the biggest drawback is the central air conditioning in the bathroom, which is constantly running and hums all night long, making the room extremely cold. Also, if you have a room overlooking the courtyard, you'll be subject to noise from the restaurants' industrial air conditioners 24/7. There are thresholds at all the doors, so you have to lift a heavy suitcase every time. Climbing up to reception is also a flight of stairs with a suitcase, so be aware if you're elderly. I wouldn't recommend the breakfasts; they're terrible; there aren't even tea bags, so I had to brew tea from a jar. I was fooled by the glowing reviews; think twice before booking this hotel!

The location is very good and easy to find. It's a few steps to the main street of Nice where you can go shopping. The room is not very big and is a bit older, but it's clean. The front desk staff is very friendly. Overall it's OK.
