Jumbo Junction
"We (2 couples) had a wonderful 3 day stay at Jumbo Junction. This special safari camp has a unique and still unfolding story. It is owned and personally run by an inspiring young family of four. A husband and wife and two fun and engaging young children. The camp is being reinvented to offer equestrian safaris, which sounds wonderful. They are already offering equestrian tours as they build their stable from the current 10 or 12, to 20+ horses. We will definitely consider an equestrian experience the next time we visit. The camp has a small, well run and caring, family vibe which makes you feel right at home. The safari drives, both by land and water were beyond expectations and the guides/trackers were friendly, knowledgable and informative. The accomodations were comfortable and luxurious and the food delicious. I highly reccomend Jumbo Junction and will most definitely be returning."
Sable Alley
"A friend and I shared the experience of an African safari. And it was literally out of this world! Our first camp was Sable Alley and it did not disappoint. We saw many animals and with Kam as our guide we got very close to zebras, giraffes, antelopes and we saw prides of lions including baby lion cubs and leopards in trees. And then the elephants! And he manoeuvred over large bodies of water without any problem. The deluxe tents were spacious and lovely and very comfortable. The food was superb. We went swimming in the pool every day to cool off in the afternoon. Overall, we were both very pleased with our experience at Sable Alley. It was excellent!"
Elephant Pan
"The tents are very comfortable and the food is very good. With a water hole in front of the hotel there is a great opportunity to take some wonderful photos of elephants who come in the morning and late afternoon. For a good experience is to go for the day out to the south and the water. Saw wild dogs , a leopard on a hunt and a stunning pride of lions sleeping in the shade (it was very hot ) . There is a great hide to watch the elephants, lions, hyenas as they come to the water hole, where we enjoyed our Sundowner drinks. Had a lovely lunch at Sable Alley while we’re out. The stay at Sky tents ended up being different as it rained and we had to stay in a rather small tent on one of the levels of the platform !! Food was very different , but a very interesting experience ."
Kadizora Camp
"Our experience at the Kadizora Camp was amazing. We took the chartered flight to the airstrip and got warm welcome by Technique, our driver guide for the stay. The hotel came into view just from nowhere and it was surrounded by forest Savannah. The hotel staff gave us a very warm welcome. They took care of all our needs like laundry, food restrictions, drinks and our choice of game activities. Our tent was very spacious. The room was equipped with air conditioning but the air-conditioning did not work at night as they were powered with solar energy. But the nights were very chilly and we had a fan inside our room. So we did not have any problem with that. All the tents had in room safe to keep our valuables. After the sunset it was forbidden to roam around the hotel all by ourselves. The hotel staff was assigned to accompany us after sunset whenever we wanted to go to the reception area or the restaurant. The hotel did not have a electric fence and so wild animals could enter the hotel premises and hence the precaution was taken for the safety of the guests. In the sit out area of our tent we found some members of a warthog family, that used to take rest during the heat of the day. It was pretty amazing watching them from the room. At night when the jungle used to become alive, we could hear all sorts of jungle sounds and animal sounds around our tent which was very adventurous. We were quite surprised that the hotel tried to help us with all possible facilities even when the location was so remote. The hotels served us with delicious meals and chilled drinks, which was Beyond our imagination in such a remote location. We had fabulous game drives with our driver guide Technique, along with some water activities. The hotel had made arrangements with some electric wire to restrict the entry of the elephants and hippos in the hotel. The hotel had a clean swimming pool. The Wi-Fi worked very good in the bar area and in the reception but not in the rooms, which is quite understandable. The behaviour of the staff was very warm and we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We definitely recommend this hotel."
Xaro Lodge
"I stayed at the extraordinary Xaro Lodge. Romy and Shaun, their staff and guides made my stay a magical experience. The location of the lodge in the Okavango Delta is breathtaking and the proximity to Tsodilo Hills and the Caprivi Strip/Namibia make the spot a perfect starting point for exciting day trips, bird watching and bush tours. I was thrilled by the high quality food, which was prepared every day with a lot of love and at the highest level. Many thanks to Romy, Shaun and their team!!! Words cannot adequate describe my breathtaking experience at Xaro."
Camp Kwando
"We had a lovely stay at Camp Kwando. The guys make sure we had warm water and everything was clean. However, the river is very over grow with plants at campsite 1. Maybe it could be open up just a little bit. In need of anything - the Metro at Kongola has everything "
Eden Wood Guest House
"dangerous insect in room; they don't get order on time, I had to pay before order received as deposit; breakfast as order is 2, but they offer 1 and said as their standard it's 1. bad experience"
