As long as you are aware of the type of property it is, it’s great! I am not too far removed from college, so sharing a hall bathroom was no problem for me. I was able to figure out parking pretty easily. It was a lovely place to stay, and quite literally in the center of all the downtown action! I had an issue with temperature control, but the admin were very quick to respond and helped me find a solution. Make sure you figure out a parking plan, and bring ear plugs or white noise, you may have a next door neighbor with sleep apnea not yet on a cpap, and the walls are somewhat thin (as expected in an early 20th century building). Overall, great place to stay if you’re willing to live boarding-house style

I did not expect luxury, but the lack of a mirror in the room, only a single towel per person (no washcloth) and no TV - but the bathrooms - I guess I did not understand that this was a hostel.....

Dirty, but Nice location. . . Room and bathroom areas were dirty. Im sorry . . . Very noisy at night too. Location was good but the property was not clean. No TV either and community restrooms too not great!

Shhh…Don’t tell anyone It’s the best value in Newport. Okay, there’s no TV, no refrigerator & parking can be problematic. (Mary St lot is $30 overnight) So did you go to Newport to sit in your room? Walk out your door & be in the center of EVERYTHING! Can’t wait to return.

Nice stay in a great location. The crows nest in in a 5 star location and ight in the heart of downtown Newport. You could not ask for a better location. The room was clean and comfortable, but I was unaware of the shared bathroom facilities. I was a solo traveler so it wasn’t a big deal to me but I would have planned to bring my own shampoo (none provided) for the showers. They were clean but dated. The communication with the manager was prompt and efficient. Overall a nice stay and would stay again if I was traveling solo.

Location is perfect for visiting Newport. Walking distance to so many restaurants, beaches and the Mansions. Highly recommend staying here.

This was the perfect location for a trip to Newport. The place was clean and cozy. The shared bathroom was also clean.Tara was fantastic & got back to us in an hour. Would definitely recommend!
