Hotel very good location on the quay side, good selection of foods the décor of the hotel not to my taste dark grey and black room choice best if you can get room facing the quay side only problem I had was wet shaving in the bathroom cannot get close to mirror / poor lighting ( you need to use electric shaver ).

The room is spacious and clean. The transportation is convenient. It is not far from the train station. The breakfast tastes OK. The hot food is a la carte. The other food is self-service. The price is not cheap.

Not bad, a little far from the train station, but close to the river, there are many bars. But the hotel is a bit old. There is a good English breakfast shop and ice cream shop nearby.

The lighting in the dining room was such that, combined with a menu printed in small, light text, made it difficult to read without the aid of a torch. We weren't the only diners using mobile phone torches to read the menu.

We stayed at Malmaison Newcastle overnight whilst visiting family.
Our room was fine and the staff friendly, as we were meeting up with family we did not use the dining facilities.
We would definitely stay there again.

From check in to check out staff were friendly efficient and helpful the breakfast and dinner staff were also attentive and welcoming.
One or two areas of the hotel starting to look a little in need of redecorating but didn’t spoil our stay.

Fantastic location in Newcastle Quayside.. ideal to go to see the laser show. Lovely old building and bar area is elegant and cosy with lots of sofas
Our room wash really big and the bed was really comfortable. The only negative was the room decor was a bit bland and the lighting made it quite dark. Bathroom was small and they provided built in shampoo and body wash but no body lotion which I would expect in a good hotel. Hand wash beside sink and a shower cap but that’s it .. take your own toiletries. No drinking water provided in bottles… again which I’d expect .. but coffee bags and usual tea bags are there
Breakfast which we added onto the room rate was fantastic
Over all a great New Years Eve stay
