The innkeeper Kim was as sweet as could be - very accommodating to our needs. Put out treats in the evening and a delicious breakfast in the morning. She is truly an asset to the inn! Our room was clean and very comfortable - we will definitely be back!

The Compass Rose Inn checks most of the boxes. Location is excellent. Rooms are very clean. Inn keeper and staff are friendly, helpful, great people. Unfortunately, the suites are not well isolated from the sounds of the other guests. Foot traffic overhead and muted voices along with plumbing all contribute to a lack of privacy. Surprisingly this house is newer construction and was built for the purpose of a B&B. Perhaps the noise intrusion is part of the B&B experience and should be expected, so my expectations may be skewed. Unfortunately, I probably would not stay here again.

This is our go to place when we stay in Newburyport and have been here several times. The location is ideal and close to everything. Janet was amazing- super friendly and accommodating and a great cook:) looking forward to next time!
