"My stay at Waterloo Hotel Singapore was a great experience overall. The location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk to Bencoolen MRT station, which saved a lot of travel time. It's also right near the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple, making it easy to visit for worship or to experience local culture. The Bugis area nearby has plenty of food and shops, offering excellent amenities. The room was simple and clean, perfect for a short stay or independent travelers, and it offered good value for money! 👍"

"I had my brief pleasant stay at Bugis Social Stay. Boasting an exceptional prime location, it is only a few minutes’ walk from Bugis MRT station, various shopping malls and local dining spots, making it extremely convenient for sightseeing and city tours. The guest rooms are equipped with essential daily supplies such as toothbrushes and bottled water. The hotel staff are courteous and quick to respond, while the check-in and check-out processes are seamless and hassle-free. This accommodation is an ideal cost-effective pick for solo travelers and short-term stays. There are a few slight drawbacks: the in-room space is relatively compact, and the sound insulation is just mediocre. Additionally, some rooms come with shared bathrooms, and the on-site Wi-Fi is unavailable. If you book the projector room, you will have to use your personal mobile hotspot for internet access. All in all, it is still a worthy stay mainly thanks to its superb central location."

With a stay at Peace Hotel, you'll be all set to unwind after a day of travel. This property also offers free luggage storage. Parking is available at the property.

"This hotel wasn't easy to find online; it opened in May 2026 and is located in Alor Long 8, specifically opposite Hollywood 81. The rooms aren't large, but everything is new and pleasing to the eye, with no smell of recent renovations. Both receptionists were very nice, and I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner! 🙏 The location isn't ideal as it's close to the subway station; it's a 10-15 minute walk to either station. However, public transportation is very convenient. Suitable for those on a budget."

"This was my first time staying in a capsule hostel, and I found this one through Trip.com with an open mind. **Check-in convenience:** The front desk staff were two Chinese individuals, and check-in was quite efficient. They informed me about the hostel rules, such as no air conditioning from 11 AM to 3 PM (which might not suit everyone), and then escorted me upstairs to show me how to use the keyless entry. I had a bit of trouble with it, but the front desk lady promptly helped me out. **Facilities:** In the room, each bed had a pillow, duvet, bath towel, clothes hanger, power outlet, a password-locked locker (approx. 35x50x45 cm), and a key card. In the common areas, there were toothbrushes, earplugs, combs, razors, hairdryers, shower rooms, restrooms, washing machines, and drying racks. Since everyone's schedules are different, if you encounter others in the morning, everyone waits patiently and orderly. There aren't really any dedicated storage spaces for luggage in the rooms, and for girls who like to do their makeup, there's no specific shelf, so cosmetics end up wherever there's a surface. One morning, when I opened my door, the narrow hallway revealed a girl by the window applying meticulous makeup, which reminded me of the saying: 'Life is not just about the struggles in front of you, but also poetry and distant lands...' **Safety:** The hostel guests come from various countries, including Europe, America, Russia, and China. Don't let some of the tattoos fool you; everyone maintains polite boundaries, smiles and greets, and doesn't try to get too familiar. My female dormitory could sleep 10 people and was almost full. I stayed for 3 nights. On the first night, a Chinese guest was making a quiet phone call at midnight. I said, 'Please take your call outside.' And they stopped. The second night was mostly quiet, except for the sound of guests unzipping their luggage. On the third night, I was drifting off to sleep when I was woken by quiet talking from the bunk below me to the right. I saw it was a Chinese guest on WeChat voice, so I said again, 'Please take your call outside.' At midnight, I was woken up again by the excited chattering of a Russian girl entering the room, so I got up and said, 'Could you please be a little quieter...' The girl turned around and said, 'Sorry.' Just as I was about to fall asleep, I heard a girl re-enter the room, quite loudly and seemingly upset. Fortunately, the noise stopped within a minute. Luckily, nobody snored loudly throughout the night, otherwise, I, being a light sleeper, would have had a very difficult time. Going to the restroom or shower requires walking about 50 meters and passing through 4 doors. A midnight trip to the toilet pretty much wipes out any sleepiness. **Hygiene:** Overall, the hygiene is quite good. I saw staff cleaning the common areas every day. **Environment:** The hostel is a 5-minute walk from Chinatown MRT station, and it's surrounded by Chinatown, making it very convenient for food. If you're looking for cheaper options, you can find food courts on the 2nd floor of Chinatown Complex or at People's Park Complex. There's also a good little Chinese-run shop near the MRT entrance. The hostel's ground floor has the front desk, a cafe, breakfast area, and a lounge. The sleeping area is on the second floor, accessed from an external door with a key card. Upstairs, there's a shared lounge, rooms, and shoe lockers (since shoes need to be left outside, the hallway has a bit of an odor). I didn't go up to the third floor. Across from the female dorm is an Indian temple. On the first day, I didn't know what festival it was, but they were chanting and singing from 5 PM until 8:30 PM, and it started again at 7 AM the next morning, continuing into the evening. Fortunately, they stopped on the third day. The timing wasn't too bad and didn't affect my sleep. **Service:** I stayed for 3 nights with breakfast included: toast, lettuce salad, milk tea, pastries, eggs, milk tea, and coffee. The pastries and eggs had some variety. There was a local Chinese staff member who politely and discreetly kept an eye on guests, mainly to prevent waste or misplaced utensils. Every time I entered the restroom or toilet, they were quite clean, and there was always shower gel, shampoo, and toilet paper. The only thing I couldn't understand was why the air conditioning was turned off from 11 AM to 3 PM in the rooms. Singapore is very hot. Is it to force everyone out to sightsee or run errands? **Overall Impression:** I found this capsule hostel to be safe, with good environment, service, and facilities. It's a place I'd consider staying at again. Thanks to Trip.com for the recommendation! Thanks to the hostel for its excellent management and service! And thanks to the generally well-mannered guests I encountered!"

"The room is not big but well equipped, and I had a very good night’s sleep as the bed was super comfortable. They serve a small ala carte menu for breakfast, where you order one food and one drink. I do wish that they offered a few more options for food, and it would be nice to include a juice in addition to the coffee. Most of the staff were helpful and friendly. Overall, a pleasant stay."

"This stay was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the attentive service. The front desk staff were efficient and welcoming during check-in, and they even proactively suggested local restaurants and shopping malls nearby. The location is excellent, just a 6-minute walk to the subway station, which is incredibly convenient. The room was spotless, newly renovated, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. All the facilities were well-equipped and easy to use, making for a truly pleasant stay. I couldn't find a single fault with the cleanliness or the environment. "The room was incredibly small, but the price was a steal, and since it's a new hotel, the facilities are still in great shape. I'm guessing in a few months, guests will have trashed it! Little India is a bit chaotic, but the room had decent soundproofing – couldn't hear any of the street noise at all."

"What a profoundly disappointing and utterly miserable stay! It's hard to believe this is supposedly a high-end, 'garden-style' hotel, located right in the city center and backing onto the Presidential Palace. I paid over a thousand yuan per night even with a discount (the original price being over two thousand), expecting a comfortable and reassuring experience that would enhance my vacation. The reality, however, fell far short of expectations, with so many inexplicable issues. Firstly, basic in-room amenities were severely lacking. I scanned a QR code to order missing items, but received no response all afternoon. The internal phone line to the front desk was unreachable; I had to call an external number through the OTA platform to get through to anyone. The shower area design was bizarre – a single shower soaked the entire bathroom floor. And to top it off, the toiletries were refills, which is fine, but the shower gel bottle was completely empty! Do I need to call the front desk mid-shower to get some? The most ridiculous part was the absence of even the most basic guest essentials like bathrobes and disposable slippers. Some rooms had them, some didn't? How can they talk about service quality when they can't even ensure basic supplies are complete? Secondly, despite having available rooms and the ability to offer a better room of the same type, the hotel insisted on putting me in a problematic one, completely disregarding guest comfort. My room faced ongoing construction. There was a pungent paint smell permeating the room, and construction workers frequently walked back and forth outside, making it noisy and suffocating. This severely disrupted my rest and felt unsafe for a female guest. Thirdly, after requesting a room change due to the shower leaking, the hotel verbally promised an 'upgrade to a higher-priced deluxe king room.' However, this room type isn't even listed on their platform – a complete lack of transparency. So, whatever they say, goes, I guess. This 'upgraded' deluxe room not only lacked a proper window but also suffered from poor ventilation due to ongoing renovations. Drawing the curtains revealed a direct view of the park, offering absolutely no privacy. Some 'scenic view' room – it felt more like the guests were the ones being viewed! Moreover, it lacked the balcony of my original room (pictured in image 3). The overall living experience was a world apart from what I originally booked. I could have comfortably air-dried clothes before; now I'm stuck waiting for them to air-dry in the sink area with the AC. This wasn't an upgrade; it was simply being fobbed off with a room that had even more problems. Fourthly, when I agreed to change rooms, the staff told me the manager would come the next day to resolve the refund and discount issues. The next day, they completely went back on their word. They even had the audacity to ask if I wanted to switch back to the original room type, offering to assist me with it! Are they taking me for a fool? Is my time worthless, but their linen costs money? I stood at the front desk at 11 PM with wet hair, unable to even use their shower gel, arguing with them. This severely disrupted my rest and my plans for the next day, only for them to suggest moving me back and forth? It's truly hard to comprehend how a hotel of this size, which regularly hosts important government officials and business dignitaries, can fail to execute even the most basic room SOPs, performing worse than even budget hotels. Service is never just about superficial bows and polite greetings. A truly great guest experience relies on detailed standards and thoughtful assurance. This upside-down approach to operations simply doesn't match its prime location and exorbitant prices. I genuinely advise against choosing this place for anyone looking for a good rest, valuing privacy, quality accommodation, and a pleasant travel experience. Avoid this pitfall."

"Cleaner and visually nicer than I thought (Didn'tknownit was under Hotel81 tbh, so expect a no-frills kinda room), especially the toilet - love it!! Staff (I think is his name is Tate Fay) was a very nice guy in terms of the hospitality service - helpful and outgoing enough without being too in your face. Location was not bad though not the best cos everywhere seems expensive, but the Sarawak Noodles nearby are good!! FINALLY THE CONS!! IS THE SOUNDPROOFING!! The water flow from the ceiling is insanely loud for people with sensitive hearing!! Sad that the management didn't fix this when they were doing renovations!!"

This is a place where life in Singapore feels easier, warmer, and more human.

"Our booking experience this time was quite unique. Our Scoot flight arrived at Changi Airport at 3 AM, and we were exhausted. Airport accommodations weren't ideal—either couches or very expensive. Then it hit us: why not check Trip.com for hotels with midnight check-in? And we found one! Check-in was incredibly smooth, with staff even on duty at 4 AM. This is an economy hostel, but the room style is very minimalist and nostalgic, giving off a 'luxurious university dorm' vibe. The bedding was comfortable, and the bedside charging station and lamp were excellent. Plus, all beds have privacy curtains, making you feel like you're back in your university days. It gave our family of three an incredibly good night's sleep after a red-eye flight. While it might not be the top choice for families, it's definitely an option for young travelers visiting Singapore. 👍"
