Holiday Inn NEW YORK CITY - TIMES SQUARE by IHG

The location is excellent, and you need your room card to use the elevator, which made me feel very secure (even though there were often groups of Black people gathered outside the hotel). It's a 3-minute walk to the subway station, making the trip to JFK Airport smooth and convenient. There are tons of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and you can walk to all the Midtown attractions like Times Square, the New York Public Library, Grand Central Terminal, Rockefeller Center, MoMA, Trump Tower, the Louis Vuitton Building, Central Park, and more. I was very satisfied with my stay.

The hotel's location is excellent, situated between 38th and 39th Street on 8th Avenue. It's very close to the subway station, with the E line for JFK and LGA airports right nearby. Times Square is also very close, just on the adjacent 7th Avenue and 42nd Street, which is a major hub for all subway transfers. Penn Station (Amtrak) is also a short 5-8 minute walk away. There are many dining options nearby, with a wide range of prices to choose from. The downside is that facilities in the city center can be older, and with a high density of people staying in tall buildings, it can get noisy at night if you're facing the street. It's a trade-off to consider based on your overall preferences.

The location is great, with plenty of supermarkets and restaurants downstairs. However, it can be a bit chaotic, with many young black people hanging out and chatting on the public benches right outside the hotel. Overall, it's decent. Don't expect too much from the rooms; as long as they're clean, it's fine. The soundproofing is definitely not good.

The room was a bit small, and although the location was great, it wasn't very quiet. There was a lot of noise at night. The elevators were also few and small, which was inconvenient. I booked a room with a view, and I could see the Empire State Building. The air conditioner was positioned too low, blowing directly onto the bed, which was a bit unbearable.
