DoubleTree by Hilton New York LaGuardia Airport

Since there were no direct flights to my destination, I had a layover in New York and decided to stay for two days. I chose a hotel near LaGuardia Airport, which was convenient for my next flight. The hotel is a bit old, and the facilities show their age, but they are well-maintained, except for the noisy air conditioning. What I liked most was the mattress – it was just the right firmness, very stable, and I slept comfortably. It's a bit far from Midtown Manhattan, but getting there by bus and subway was quite convenient, making it a good choice for a leisurely trip without a tight schedule.

The hotel is right across from the airport and offers a free shuttle service from 4 AM to 1 AM, which is super convenient for early morning or late-night layovers. The rooms are clean and tidy. Highly recommend!

This hotel near the airport had a huge room with two comfortable 1.5-meter beds. I slept like a log until my alarm went off. What really impressed me was how thoughtful the hotel was: they asked for our phone number during check-in, and as soon as we got to our room, we received a welcoming text message. It said we could text them with any questions or concerns, which really put us at ease.

First and foremost, it's convenient for air travel. Secondly, the price is acceptable, and the room's cleanliness and the overall environment here are really good.

I've stayed at this hotel many times. Whenever I fly into LaGuardia, this is my go-to place. The free shuttle service is really convenient, and the staff, including the shuttle drivers, are all very friendly and helpful with luggage (remember to tip!). The shuttle is always on time, and the front desk staff, mostly African American, are consistently pleasant. It feels like a standard four-star hotel, with a large swimming pool and a gym, though I'm always too rushed to use them. While there's no microwave in the rooms, there's a communal one on every floor, which is very handy. The prices on Trip.com don't include breakfast, so I can't comment on that, and I always have early morning flights, so even if there was breakfast, I wouldn't have time to eat it.
