Wonderful hotel. The receptionist are very kind and helpful. Rooms are quite big compared to other NYC resorts. Although stay fees are a bit high - comparable to Vegas 5 stars resorts.

The room is really nice and nice. The service attitude is very professional and patient. The hygiene is also great. If you need any help, someone will be sent to check it out right away. So I highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at the San Carlos. The beds were really cofortable, and the 2 Q room was as bigger than I'd expect in New York. Nice coffee maker and refrigerator area. Bathroom had very little counter space but was more than fine. Nice staff!

The service at this hotel is better than I’ve received at ultra luxury places. The staff is really smart and thoughtful.
I particularly appreciated that they made up the rooms early in the day. I’ve stated too many hotels where the rooms had not been made up at 4 PM.
One morning, we simply threw on clothes to go to the excellent coffee shop across the street, New York luncheonette. I had laid out my clothes for the day on the unmade bed.
When we returned from breakfast at 9:30 AM. Our room had already been cleaned, sheets and towels, replaced and beautifully made up. Even better, the clothes that I had thrown on the bed in anticipation of using later in the day had been taken off, carefully folded, and then replaced on top of the bed which had been made. A level of service which has disappeared in most places.

We stayed here one night recently and we had a very pleasant time. Our room was comfortable and the hotel staff was friendly and professional. The location is good as it's walking distance from Grand Central Station. There are several restaurant options on the same block, as well. We'd definitely come back to the San Carlos!

Fantastic property! We stayed in the apartment which slept 6 comfortably & had a kitchenette. Clean & easily walkable to many areas of the city & subway.
