I would not recommend this hotel, not even for a one night stay. Now don't get me wrong, I didn't book 5 star accommodation so was not expecting a 5 star experience...
I can let the fact that our room wasn't ready when we arrived at approx 20h00. The hotel was VERY busy.
The two people we dealt with at check in as well as one specific bellhop were pleasant and the only good thing about our stay. I wish I could remember their names for proper credit. Regrettably our encounters with other staff members were not as pleasant.
The main thing about a hotel stay is the room and facilities. HUGE CONCERN....damp, mould, cleanliness.
The aircon unit leaked consistently so the carpet was damp. This was not a new issue because we smelled the damp when we entered the room. The mould issue was not restricted to the aforementioned. The ceiling in the bathroom had long-term signs of a problem. This for me is a health issue, especially if you are hypervigilant about allergens.
The bathtub drain was just nasty. The pull out wash line in the bathroom was not operational.
One of the regrettably things my spouse did was look under the bed! I wonder if this facility is understaffed? It was obvious that the room had not had a decent clean in a long time.....dust, hairbands (not ours), tablets of unknown origin! We were traveling with a child...imagine for a moment if our child was not the responsible 6 year old they are.
Housekeeping was poor. Our room wasn't made up on Day 1. We got an early start to the day and returned about 15h00/16h00. When the room was "made up" the bed linen was merely pulled straight. I do a better job with my own bed on my laziest day. When we asked for extra towels, we were told there were none.
I only heard stories about the filth by the ice machine from my husband.
My husband got to chatting with another guest in the elevator, whose words upon hearing we were checking out were, "You're lucky." Turns out the mould and damp issue wasn't just our bad luck.
This experience is a prime example of the pictures looking nothing the real deal.
